Feedback wanted

Hello and happy new year! I'm trying to change the way I use the computer. Less blogging and escaping life by endless reading of LJ, more doing stuff and blogging about what I've made. Here's an example of one of my voodoo dolls:



Check out my last two entries for other things I've made recently. I've taught myself to knit and sculpt and I'm pretty proud. However, I'm finding it pretty interesting that my friends care less about what I've made than drama/whinging/gossip, what have you. Do you guys find that it's just best to share your art and craft stuff with like-minded people in a community? Do you cross-post?

Does this question make sense? :D I just spent 4 hours of a road trip knitting in the car so I'm a bit fuzzy minded.
