Apr. 27th, 2002 05:23 pmhey. not sure if i've posted here before but i've been lurking for what seems like forever. the reason i've got around to saying hello is because i need advice.
i bought a hippyish, kaftan type top in a vintage shop the other week and have got my mother who can actually sew, to adjust it so that it fits.
but i got it for cheaper because it had stains on it. now i suppose these stains have been there for quite a while. it's a 70's top so for all i know they could have been there since then.
but i want ot get rid of them. it's a cream coloured top and they look fairly obvious. they're small, rust coloured dots and i want to know does anyone have any ideas on how to remove them?
i've just prewashed them with white wizard stain remover and normal detergent in the washing machine but they didn't fade. i'm thinking it might be possible to bleach them out? but the top's not pure white so that might look worse. any ideas?
