Here's the embroidery I've been working on for my my installation in my MA Illustration exhibition. The whole thing (islands and sea) took me about 70 hours. I am thoroughly sick of embroidery at this point. It's part of an interactive exhibit about Greek Mythology.

And what I did with it ... )

hey guys! I don't know if this really counts as crafting, but I recently made a clay head on the theme of 'transformation' and thought I would share. It took a little over 2 hours. It's not been fired, but I'm thinking of giving it a dark green glaze or something (I don't know yet!)

I work with students aged 12-19 who are all male, and, surprisingly enough, sorta like crafts. We did some q-tip snowflake Christmas decorations and everyone helped. These kids have behavioral issues, but,for the most part, are pretty smart.
Do any of you have any other ideas of things we can do that take about 30 minutes or so, and that boys would like?
Thanks!
