Results are in! Our theme for Jan is Everything old is new again. The theme is open to your interpretation so that could mean retro styling or upcycling/recycling or finishing up old projects or anything you feel fits the theme.

Those of you who complete a theme craft *and* do a tutorial for it will be invited to post a link to it in our "tutorial link party" post at the end of the month. You'll also receive a special graphic for participating in the tutorial link party. (kinda like nanowrimo)

NOTE: Participation in the theme is NOT mandatory! It's just a fun side thing to get the creative juices flowing for some of us. The community still allows non-theme posts. So if you're not feeling the theme thing no worries! Non theme posts are welcomed and encouraged! :D

So craftgrrls! we're a "super community". We're awesome and LJ has taken notice of this. The craftgrrl "home page" is going to get a design upgrade so things may start looking different around here. But, fear not

exquisitegeek and I are still in charge around here (and we have final say in the design changes), the rules haven't changed and we're definitely not going to sell out to da man. No selling means NO SELLING yo!

~~OK! So January's craft theme! Leave your nominations in the comments below~~ CLOSED! and on 12/29 I will put up a poll that members can vote on. (If you don't see it you have to join the community not just watch it - keeps people from stuffing our ballot box) The poll will close on 12/31 and the winning theme will be announced 1/1! I'm so looking forward to this!
