Making Faces

While I was scavenging at a yard sale last week, I found a bunch of these:


they're just a bunch of ladies faces. I assume you use them to create pins or something... not really sure.

But I decided to go a little further than your standard tacky glam pin.
I've been working on these beauties:




The smallest ones are about the size of a dime. They get bigger from there. But not much.

So far I've only done these 15 faces (they actually take a long time to do since I use such a tiny paintbrush... but I plan on doing all of them. I'm only going to repeat my favorite 5-10 designs and then add a pinback to some, maybe turn some of them into Day of the Dead cameo profiles (how cool would that be?)

I'm curious though, what should I seal them with? I don't think I want them to be glossy (or do you think that would be better?) but all of the spray varnish I find leaves things sticky. What else is there aside from clear nailpolish (which I'm not too good to use, I just would like something a bit more professional).

Any other cool things I could make with them? I think it would be great to turn the small ones into earrings but don't know how to add jewelry bits to them.
