Help? :)

I use to dance and have saved all of my old pointe shoes from ballet.  Most of them are too worn out and aren't very pretty anymore but the pair depicted here, I barely wore.  Aside from the material wearing off a little, they still look great all except for one area where they are actually stained by some of my blood.  Sounds cool but it really doesn't look it...I was thinking about painting them either red or black and buying swarovski crystals to glue all over ?  I'm open to any ideas as to what to do with them!

Thanks! :)  Oh!  And I even thought about giving them as a gift to my 5 yr old neice, she was in The Nutcracker as a fairy...
