My new snug and cosy camera case!
Dec. 27th, 2010 09:36 pmIt's a day off today again!
Was at the mall when I spotted a cute camera case that I wanted to get for my new Canon... however, I thought about it and decided I should save some moo-lah and make myself one. After all, I have batting left over from making all those Christmas coasters...
So when I got home, i found two perfectly sized scrap fabric and started to envision how i should go about making it. I decided that two layers of batting would make a better shock absorbent case, but would be challenging as I'll have to use the quilting walking foot for that thickness. Nevertheless i tried it out.

Pretty happy with the results!! Now my camera is snug and safe in its case! I even made a buttonhole at the top for the strap! The only thing missing is a closure. Dad was supposed to get me some velcro from his storage but he realised only after that he had run out. I have no buttons lying around because I gave my button collection away when I moved... so I'll have to leave it flapping for now till I find a solution. I was thinking maybe a cute brooch or pin and then sew an elastic loop for it? Or I also have ribbons...You guys have any smart/effortless/cute ideas?
