craftgrrl | Strapless t-shirt reconstruction?

I was camping this week, and got really bad sunburn on my shoulders while out on the boat and swimming. (And I even put sunscreen on multiple times!)

So right now my skin screams at me every time I move because of tshirts and even tank tops. Bras are out of the question.

So my request to you... how would I go about reconstructing a tshirt to be strapless? Or just making a strapless top with fabric. I'm desperate. Could I just do it with ribbon to tie it tight? Anyone have pictures I could see?
