Crochet & Elastic

craftgrrlOk, so I have someone that is requesting that I make my normal "beanie/kufi" caps with elastic on the bottom, but Im not quite sure how I would go about this...
The last row of stitches I use is a hdc, should I just get some black elastic (do they even make that?) and crochet it with the hdc? Or do I weave it in somehow.
Im completely lost.
