mountain bike seats

Just got myself a used mountain bike. It has this teeny, tiny seat, that's too small for my large butt & too hard for my soft butt! I was thinking of crocheting a nice, comfy cover for the bike seat, but I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas for me?
