barbie shoe earrings + rocket pants

today i made myself a set of four earrings made out of barbie shoes. i just stuck a pin through the bottom of the shoe, put a post in it, and super glued it down, pretty basic and a bit bright and clunky, but interesting nontheless.

i dunno..im thinking that for my next little spur of the moment project, i want to find some track pants in a thrift store (maybe dark red or green ones..i like those colors) and sew rockets going up each leg on the stripes. i know they sell that same material at the thrift store. hopefully im as good as an apliquer (sp?) as i think i am, but i really dont think so. any tips?

this is a longshot;
has anybody been making their own plugs?
you know for ears?
I did my first pair last night; a pair of dices and 3 kinds of sandpaper and now I have 2 hotpink 2g plugs in acrylic.
has anybody been doing plugs? how, what, when and why, you know all the regular questions.
all plugs on the market are either etnic or looks good but are too cheap to use and neither is something I´d want to buy
