I've tried a few time to photograph bits and pieces of jewelry that I've made, only to have it either too dark to see detail, or reflecting big white spots of light and big ugly shadows in the background.

Last night I stumbled upon this method of photographing jewelry. From the photos on the lady's web site, the method works incredibly well.

I just thought I'd share!

Someone posted here before saying they had ideas for Japanese style skirts, and i wasn't really sure what they meant, although i'd like to have a go at making it, and sending the person it.

I just recently found a place in the town i live which is an asian community and sells a lot of material for sari's and things, although some of them do look quite oriental as well, although i wouldn't also mind ordering it online.
