I made this table out of yard flamingos several months ago. I tried to sell it at my yard sale this weekend with no luck. It was pretty easy to construct and makes a great plant stand.

Thanks for your comments about the bracelet I was making. What I ended up doing was cutting out the piece I wanted to show and rolling it up and using modpodge to seal it. I work in a craft store so I tried to find those one inch bracelets [livejournal.com profile] samia was talking about, but to no avail.

But it worked out in the end, so thank you!

I have one more question for the sewers here. I have a pair of jeans that are too short for me so I was thinking about making it into a skirt instead, and I was wondering how you go about that exactly? Do I just split the seams on the legs and insert the material there? Seems too easy, haha.

does anyone have a suggestion for a clay type thing that doesn't require baking to get to optimal hardness?

I have a bunch of dried roses and rose petals. Most are red; some are white, yellow and pink. I've been collecting them for a few years, but I have absolutely no idea what to do with them! Any suggestions?

Oh yeah, time sure flies when yr sewing screaming at your machine and crying because it's massively FUCKED UP.

I have decided that my sewing machine is officially dead. Seriously. When I sew something, 37506195 threads come out of the bobbin all at once until it freezes up so badly that I have to manually turn the wheel to git the needle to come up and the bobbin to let go so that I can untangle all the snarls. This happens about... oh every 10 stiches or so.

Yeah. Fuck. I don't have the $100+ for a new sewing machine. (Of course, what I would really love would be a surger, but those cost over $300 so, yeah right). I don't know what I'm gonna fucking do without my machine. It's not really something that you can go without if you like to sew, it is now?

*sighs*

So sorry
