i finished my trousers! (the ones made out of a pair of old curtains from the '70s). i actually completed something! and they're wearable, too! woohoo!

just thought i'd say that.

i want to make candles. i know in principle how to make them, but does anyone know of any good resources on candlemaking? i have some odd designs in my head and am unsure how to start (for example, dyeing the wax etc).

keep up the creative work, all!

I vaguely remeber someone saying they went to a craft school, was it anyone here? I mean does that really exist?

hum, lets see...i do bead jewelry, painting and sewing. i am mostly mediocre at everything crafty, but i love to at least give it a try.
oh yeah, i am also wanting to learn to crotchet, time permitting.

So I get the sewing machine. $200 singer 5040c for $80. Tested it out worked great at the store, I get it back here and I can't for the life of me rotate the stitch selector. Anyone know what to do ? I can't return it or exchange it because it was a going out of business sale and if I can't get it to work I am going to catch hell from my mom. Do you think if something is wrong then they will still honor the warranty even though I got it on clearance?
The crappy thing is I have to drive 1 1/2 to drop off and pick it up when it is fixed since there is one authorized dealer in the state. :(
Does anyone know what I can do to get the selector to move?

Does anyone have the links to those posts that some people made about their easy methods for putting images on shirts? (silk screening).
I cant seem to find them.

thanks in advance,
