can someone tell me what mod podge is? i've heard of people using it to decorate aol tins and such. what does it do? and where can i get my hands on this stuff? thanks!
I got my beading loom today. It came in at the craft store. i am so happy. I did not have time to sit there and look through the book to order beads though. *sad* Anyways I have another question...lol..dont I always? Anyways there is this guy that is a friend of mine and for christmas I wanted to crochet him a scarf or a hat or something...maybe like a matching set. I am fairly new to crocheting and I need a simple pattern to make for him. Can I just do the single crochet stitch over and over again? and what kind of yarn should I use? what size crochet hook? I want to make him one of those nice ones that are so soft when you put it next to your face... I am sorry about always asking questions, but I greatly appreciate how you all help me out...thanks
I've decided that before I turn 18 (I'm almost 17 now) I want to learn how to either knit or crochet. I don't know anything about either one of them, but I want to learn. Just to be able to make simple things like baby blankets, scarves, hats, etc.
Which would be easier to learn? Which is more enjoyable?
I need to know because I'm going to ask for the materials for a Christmas present. So it would also be helpful to tell me what all I'll need.
Thanks a lot, and sorry if this sounds stupid, heh.
I went to wal-mart and i found the yarn I need to make ryan's scarf. now i just got to make him the matching hat. anyways I was over looking at the seed beads and i came across these awesome beads...they are 30 grams of E beeds and they are called lustre lined...they are so pretty...anyways i bought them because I loved them and i know they are bigger than seed beeds. but what would you all use size E beeds for?
Anyway, I learned to knit about 2 days ago. Im pretty stupid with it. But its awesome. It takes me forever to knit. Does anybody know any tips to make it go faster?
I got lions brand and its really nice.. and needles etc. Im trying to knit a blanket for my cat. I eventually want to move on to mittens.. but I cannot read patterns. Im stupid when it comes to them. They are like.. greek.
Are mittens hard? A scarf would be nice, but I need to finish this blanket for my cat :)
Yeh! I DID it! I made soap. WOW how easy can you get... Really. Microwave, color, scent, pour. Rinse, repeat. Now I want to make my own molds of silly things like baby heads. We'll see. I don't think my fam wants babyhead soap for x-mas but my guy friends might!! yeah.
Here is something really funny to maybe give to close friends etc...
Get a clear sandwitch bag (no zipper) Insert a medium amount of small marshmallows Make a little card with a snowman on it that says "Snowman poop" Then tie it up.. and viola!
How simple is that? I thought it was funny when I got it at first. I'm going to put it on my friends lockers this christmas as long as another cute gift.
Get some little boxes. Decorate them Inside put kisses and things that you like about each of them. VIOLA! Once again!
