Hey everyone..I am not sure how to post a picture on here, so I am just going to give you the link to the picture of the bracelet I made for my brothers wife for christmas. I am kinda proud of it. It was cheap, but not oh so quick to make. I am thinking of changing clasps though on it.

I am also doing fairly well on my scarf. My mom tried to teach me this stitch today where you only work through the back loop when you single crochet. It creates the stretchy factor with the scarf, but I did not like the ridges it left on the scarf. I want mine to lay flat. so i took it out and started working through both loops. It lays flat and I am much more happy with it.

I've put up the following books for auction on eBay:

The Soapmaker's Companion - Susan Miller Cavitch (aka "The Soapmaker's Bible)
Creating an Herbal Bodycare Business - Sandy Maine
Making Transparent Soap - Catherine Failor (NOT just about molding melt and pour, but about making the base yourself!)
Natural Liquid Soaps - Catherine Failor
Herbs for Natural Beauty - Rosemary Gladstar
The Essential Oil Book - Colleen K. Dodt
The Herbal Home Spa - Greta Breedlove
The Herbal Body Book - Stephanie Tourles

All of these are from my own collection and are in mint condition with low starting bids and no reserve. They're great references and full of fantastic and fun recipes.

I finally got around to making some of those damn marble magnets, and I have to say, If you haven't tried it yet, I suggest you DO!!
They are like magical little jewels!
My camera needs a new battery, so I can't post photos, but, I got the best photos for them out of the Archie McPhee catalogue. It's so much fun, flipping through magazines, and laying the little marbles over pictures to see if they'd make a good magnet. I could waste DAYS doing this.

Thanks to whoever it was who originally posted this idea, months and months ago.

The fruits of my labors! The Harry Potter scarf is for my sister, the black & red is for me (hey, I need to be warm ,too!), the camo is for my brother and dad will get one too, the black & green is for my sister's boyfriend and the blue & purple is for my mom. After I started working with Lion Brand Thick & Quick chenille, I got really frustrated working with worsted weight. I started doubling the worsted weight and now it's much nicer.

Like many others, I have caught marble magnet fever. After wandering around Michael's for a solid hour looking for supplies, I finally made my first batch. Here are the fruits of my labor of love...

I look at the world and all I can see are tiny pictures, suitable for magnet making. Sigh.

I ended up buying four two pound blocks of soap today at Michael's, for $5.99 each. (Compared to 9.49!!!) and right now I am making oatmeal and almond soap. I am excited for the to finish cooling so I can test them out!
