The wonderfully familiar sounds of the holidays often get shut out while we’re keeping warm indoors. Hang this wreath where it will be heard (on a door, for instance), and bring the ring of sleigh bells to all the rooms in the house. Form 16-gauge wire into a circle. Make a closed loop at one end with needle-nose pliers. Thread jingle bells onto the open end in any size and color combination. When the wire is full, join its ends by twisting the unlooped end into a hook, and fasten it onto the closed loop. Tie a piece of ribbon into a bow; secure it to the bottom of the wreath with 24-gauge wire.

I found this on the Martha Stewart site and it was so easy to make!!! I am making one for my grandma now.

i want to mod podge stuff onto this shelf i am making.

i really want to put it in the bathroom when it's finished but my bathroom gets VERY steamy [wink wink, jk!] when showering because it's really tiny and the water is always very hot.

does anyone know if this is a good idea?
will my mod podged shelf get ruined by bathroom steam?
i'm thinking it will but i REALLY need a shelf in there. it's so cluttered and gross.

and maybe if not my shelf, anyone else have some crafty suggests of clutter fixers i can put in there?

I found these really beautiful Moroccan beaded napkin rings at Pier One on sale yesterday. I thought I'd put glass votive holders in them and make them into candle holders. However, they're too narrow to hold the glass, but just the perfect size to put a candle in flat-out.

So.

How would I got about turning this into a holder? What could I put on the inside that's thin and would protect the beads from the wax? And what could I put on the bottom? Could I "sew" a piece of sheet metal on the bottom (with wire)? My other idea was to turn it into a candleabra of sorts, but again, I'm clueless as to how. Any and all suggestions would be most appreciated.

This sounds weird, but whenever I smell my FO's or EO's I get heartburn. Anyone else have this problem?

Ok so I've made marble magnets, now I need other fun ideas.

What are your favorite craft sites? I'm having a hard time finding cool DIY craft girl style sites. and getcrafty.com .. frankly they suck:)

So if you have any good sites, can you comment here? Thanks:)

I found this neat stuff called Candle Painting Medium, or something like that, at the store i work at (Frank's Nursery and Crafts). Since we're trying to get rid of all of our crafts, the bottle was only 50 cents. I'd never heard of it before. You just mix it with some acrylic paint and you are good to go. It's good for painting soaps, too. We also had Fabric Paint Medium for 50 cents, which you also just mix with some acrylic paint. SO, for some cheap Christmas gifts, i picked up some yummy scented candles and painted away!
