but, enough of that. I don't know if this is crafty, but I really wanted to start making alterations to jewerly. What are some tools/materials that I would need? I have some "okay" idea's and I was just wondering what other things I would need. like wire, beads, material?... anything ...
how would I know what kind of wire to buy, and what size, and what would I "bend" it with... could anyone help me out?..
I'll post pictures of what I make when I'm done! =)
thanks!!

hello all! my mother salvaged a few wine bottles for me this weekend. they're tall and thin and deep blue. they'll fit into the decor of my bedroom perfectly, but they won't fit on my shelves and are too unstable to use for candle holders. i was thinking possibly making a mosaic out of them, but with the way the glass is curved, i'm not sure how well that will work. anybody have any suggestions for projects i can use them for?

Has anyone every dyed their curtains using tea? I have some white sheer curtains and I want to make them "off white". I have recently purchased a new comforter set and the curtains in my room are far too white and don't go well with the comforter. Any tips?

Okay. I am totally addicted to Celestial Seasonings peppermint tea, I usually go through a box in about a week. The boxes are so pretty I can't bear to throw them away, but they are very thin card that smashes easily. I would like to somehow make them stronger so I can use them for. Well. Things. I was wondering if any of you guys has any ideas of what I could use to strengthen the boxes, other than having to glue heavier card to the insides. Thnx.

okay, i'm making marble magnets, but without the magnets. i'm going to put the marbles on glass tealights. i've glued the pictures on the marbles using Liquid Nails, but i'm worried if i glue the marbles onto the tealights now that they will slide off as i have just glued the pics on. about how long do you guys think i should let this stuff dry? a few hours? overnight? help! i wanna start on the next part now, but i don't want it to mess up!

So a week or so ago i bought this bag of craft foam hearts at Meijer for like $3.... intending on using them for something for Valentines day..... trouble is, I have no idea what the heck to use them for. My sister bought a journal for her boy and was going to make it a love journal and use some of the hearts, but she decided not to... and even if she did I'd still be left with a ton of heart shapes.

Any ideas? These hearts aren't too big... some of them are small, some of them are a little bigger, and then the others are like a heart cut out in the center... like a doily or something... like the edges are wavy or something....
