Just started making soap, and I made three smells that sound unbelievably weird, but are amazingly good!

1) Grapefruit-Vanilla
2) Fresh Baked Bread
3) Dirt!

A few others--

Honey-Ginger
Peppermint

I should have pictures of them up soon, gotta get that camera!

I've seen some really interesting looking molded leather masks about and I've got a few different ideas on making one =)
But I have no clue how or where to begin.....
Has anyone had any experience in working with molding leather masks?

i need to make a birthday card for my friend for saturday.
i have nothing to make a card with; no cardstock, no stamps, no COLOURING UTENSILS.
What can i do? i'm willing to go out and buy the stuff i need.
in my head i'm thinking of bright aqua cardstock with vellum (that's the kinda whiteish-clear paper, right?) stuff on top.
i need ideas! *pokes brain* it's all empty up here lol
does anyone have pictures of any neat-o cards they've ever made?

I was going through some of my things and i found a good number of vinyl stickers i've collected over the years. I want to do something with them, but I haven't got a clue. I've heard you can make iron ons with them, but i haven't found any directions or even got confirmation that you can actually do that. I was thinking of just framing them or something. hm. any ideas you can give will be most appreciated.

thanks,
Rachel

I just came across this chart which compares 31 basic sewing machines.

It includes Suggested Retail Price, Type, Needle threader, Type,
Case, Built-in stitches, Weight, Buttonhole, Instruction manual, Presser feet, Warranties (in years), Bobbin, Adjustable feed dogs.

It comes from Threads magazine August/September 2002 issue (#102). It is a 7-page PDF file that requires the free Adobe Acrobat Reader to view.
(Download should take approximately 1 minute on a 56K modem)

My grammy's gonna teach me how to crochet.

Anyone have any tips for a "fumble-fingered beginner" She's not real big on patience. LOL!

I'm making a shirt that is knit, and my machine keeps on skipping stitches. I'm using a knit needle and the reccommended presser foot. It's VERY discouraging. At this point, I've adjusted the 'foot pressure wheel', used every different stitch I can think of, and nothing seems to be working. I was wondering if any of you girls might be able to help me out. My machine is an Elna 6300. It's relatively new, maybe 2 years old, so I doubt that it's something I'd have to take it in for.
Thanks, you guys.
