I found this book last night and I am so excited! I can't wait until it gets here!

So in honor of the fact I am graduating college tomorrow and haven't had to go to school in a few days, I devoted my entire yesterday to crafts.
One thing I made I am so excited about, and I wanted to share. I went to a bbq the other day that I brought veggie kabobs to. Well, the skewers come in a bag of like 100 (for a dollar!), so I had about 90 of them left. So I grabbed some of my bigger wooden beads and the acrylic paints and got to work making those Asian inspired hair sticks. They are so cute and easy, so I made them as presents for a bunch of girls I know in their favorite colors. My webcam is busted, but I'm trying to get photos uploaded asap.
Basically, I just painted the sticks and superglued the beads at the top. It might be a good idea to put a glaze over the skewers after the paint has dried to avoid any splintering since they are so thin.
Hope you enjoy!

Hi Girls
I have decided to expand my crochet knowledge after 8 years of granny squares! I am trying to find somewhere, preferably a shop online, where I can get a nice set of hooks as I am currently using ones borrowed from my mum and grandma. The problem is that I live in the UK and Google searches are coming up with nothing.
Hope that you can help :)

hi there! this is my first actual post to this community so hello to all, i think this community is great!

im having an issue finding something and im hoping maybe a few of you might know where i can locate them.

im looking for round pendant settings, preferably sterling silver.

even a flat plate back with a loop on top for the chain (i can just use adhesive to bind the stone to the back plate).

i hope im making sense.

what is making it even harder is that they are a little larger (approx 18mm).

is there a place online that anyone knows of where i can find these? ive been searching all day at work and its giving me a headache and im starting to lose hope :(

thank you

I think I'm going to make a few more and get my technique down.. and maybe after that try to sell a few. Any suggestions for improving?

I have a dilema that maybe some of you girls and guys could help with. I have an Interior Design project due on Monday that I just cannot figure out. I have to build a foamcore (8 in. x 8 in. x 8 in.) model box/room that another classmate designed.

He wants terracotta tile floors, which I made with Sculpy. He wants stucco walls. I have no idea what to use to make that. Any ideas?

In addition, he wants a dining table that seats TWELVE because he is obviously the devil. I can't imagine how I am gonna to make 12 chairs (2 upholstered master chairs) let alone fit them inside the small box. My only idea was to go to a doll store and buy some little chairs and a table and customize them.

Lastly, he wants an iron chandelier and wall sconces. How might I make these?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
