Someone had asked a while back about what to do with a lot of bottle caps they had collected.
I thought this table was cute..

The website as a whole has some pretty good ideas just click projects -> archives

Hello. :D You see, I've been looking online and in stores for black and white checkered pants(diamond shaped really), but so far, no luck. Not even good will has it. X.x; Anyone have any ideas where to find them? Sorry if this is off topic.

Am I the only one whose sewing machine throws a tantrum when I have to sew though elastic? I have worked with four different sewing machines (two of the same brand, two of the same brand but different model numbers). Not one of them can sew through elastic without piling the thread up on the bobbin side and jamming. Usually the bobbin case pops out as well. The elastic can be overlapped ends, like for a waistband, or being stitched in with the closing of a casing. Any hint of elastic and it throws a hissy fit. I am at my wit's end.

Also, has anyone ever seen a class to learn sewing machine repair? I've hunted around and found nothing. I'm mostly curious about their general existance.

So I bought some HP transfer paper (because it was cheaper than Avery though I heard Avery is better) and made a shirt with this image. It was for a birthday gift for someone in my improvisational dance class, who is a friend of my boyfriend. It turned out well, and on my other shirts that I will be making this weekend for my Advanced Topics TV Studies class, I will take pictures. I have to forwarn you all that those shirts will be even cooler!

Sorry if this is a dumb question and everyone knows this but me, but I am sort of on the dumb side tonight.

Where can you get purse patterns? Wal-mart doesn't have anything but clothes that I saw. I didnt want to bug the crazy old woman who works there and I haven't checked anywhere else yet, because I dont wanna go there for this specifically and not have it be there...help appreciated, thx!

camp mail

I am sending out mail to friends that are either attending summer camps or are counselors there. I can only afford to send about two small boxes, so everyone else will get letters, but I like to cram as much stuff in as I can. :)

I was wondering if (hoping) you guys had any ideas for flat objects I can fit into an envelope. So far, most of "my ideas" I found here. I want to mail the stuff in those accordion envelopes someone posted about earlier (cram, cram, cram!). Also, I will probably make the Martha Stewart ribbon bookmarks and reshaped paper clips I found linked on here. Other ideas are to throw in some stickers, beaded hair pins, Kool-Aid packets, or ribbon bracelets. Most of my envelope ideas don't work to well for boy campers though.

I've never attended a summer camp so I don't know what would be exciting or useful to get for mail.

I would love to hear any suggestions or ideas!
