I made earrings today. I like them. Super-dooper. Just some hook earring parts and pretty guitar plectrums. Place a pick on a block of wood, then bash a small hole through the plectrums with a thin nail and hammer, place the earring parts through, secure and Bob's your uncle.

How can you clean a iron. It has something sticky on it, I don't have a clue what it is but when I tried to iron something the It put black stuff on the material. I can't tell by looking what it is.

I just got some tulle fabric in light blue, pink, and light green. I was wondering if anyone could give me ideas and hints on how to use it, what to do with it, etc?

I think a long poofy/ballerina skirt would be great. How would I go about doing that?

As well as other craft ideas out there. <3

My friend Jeff and I are trying to collect AOL cds (not tins) for a project. I know bunches of you collect tins for projects, so I was wondering if you would be interested in mailing me the cds. Or if you're just tired of getting AOL cds and you'd like to send them to me, PLEASE do.

If you're interested, email me at hfa@livejournal.com and I'll email you with my address.

Thanks bunches.

edit: I've got stickers, fabric, etc. for trade, and Jeff said he had some AOL tins for trade too.

i have 7 silver teaspoons that belonged to my grandmother that her aunt gave to her as a girl. i'd like to display them in a shadowbox somehow. i dont like those spoons display boxes & they're usually for a much larger amount of spoons than just 7. any one have any ideas how i could mount them in the shadow boxes without using glue or anything that would ruin them?

Ladies! I made soap!

[Peppermint]
[Oatmeal]

It takes three weeks for them to be used. I'll let you know how they go, and give you directions...once I know for certain that they came out perfectly. Exciting, no? =D

I've gotten into making wire jewelry in the last month or so, and I finally got around to scanning some of them in... The pictures are not of wonderful quality because I scanned them directly. I took a bunch of real pictures, but I have to wait to develop them...

I have a question, though. Most of these designs are based on ones in a book (Making Bead and Wire Jewelry by Dawn Cusick). What is the etiquette on selling jewelry that uses other people's designs? At the moment, its just a couple friends who want them for presents for people. But I'm still curious... Thanks!

Last week I finished up this hand bag. Im pretty proud of myself, its the first thing I've actually sewed on my sewing machin that I got back in March as a b-day gift. Whats funny is, yesterday I tried making another one just like it, and it turned out worse than the first one hehe. Anyways, I loved the red fabric with white hearts on it as soon as I saw it. I got all the other materials I needed along with it. I had the red & white stripe fabric here at home that I used for a lining (picked it up last year at a thrift store..great place to find neat fabrics for cheap ;) ). So here are pics of my first project!

hello grrls.
im making this scarf you see... and im from canada. im living in texas now and i think scarf style is different (for one... you only wear scarves for 3 days during the winter!!)... but i think in canada we wear scarves that are a lot longer, cause we wrap them around our faces AND necks (its chilly) but im wondering if i should keep my scarf this length, or make it longer. does it look silly this short? or is that pretty normal for a scarf and im just canadian?
secondly... im just reaching the end of my ball of yarn, i have two more, but id really like to make another scarf. possibly three if this is a good length.. so i hope this is long enough and i can make 3 scarves this length instead of two... make sense? ANYWAYS, any input would be greatly appreciated : )
help! should i be longer?! )

does anyone have any little pictures or icons or clip art or whatnot of gypsies? i'm in the tedious process of making a bag for a friend and i can't find a decent picture of a gypsy anywhere.

but i'm being picky about it (beggars can't be choosers), but i'm looking for something simple, preferably something a little old with the flair of 50's film noir or just a simple outline, nothing too esmeralda-y.

thanks for your time.
