I decided to use my FIMO the other day and make beads. When I unwrapped it, it was tough and crumbly. I had 2 regular colors and some stuff with glitterin it. The stuff with glitter in it was crumbly and the other stuff was fine. It was okay to use once I worked with it for a long time, it became usable. Mind you it was still very tough and hard to make beads out of.
The beads turned out fine I guess. When I worked with the Sculpty, it was softer and easier to work with. It did not crumble to pieces when I touched it.
My question is, is FIMO suppose to be crumbly? I have never usedit before, so I do not know. Or did I just get a bad batch of it?
But I am talking about 7 colors of FIMO that were crumbly.
Is there anything I can do to make it not so crumbly.

I finally finished a bathroom mosaic project, and I'm so proud I HAD to show it off. It was easy but time-consuming... and the results are pretty fabulous, I must say. I collected dishes and tiles from garage sales over the years, and smashed em all up, arranged them one-by one using regular tiling grout and voila. My next victim is the kitchen counter. mwah hah hah.

Hey everyone. I was wondering if anyone knew of any good websites that sell unconventional rubbers stamps- like as far as the images go. I'm really sick of those cutesie "ducks and bunnies" type stamps. I'm looking for stuff thats a little more.... mature maybe.

Howdy all. Last night my boyfriend taught me how to crochet. How cute, I suck at it, but thats okay.
I promised him I'd try to pick yr brains for some knitting advice for him. He has this sweater that he really likes the knitting on, so he wants to learn how to do it. I posted a pic of the sweater here careful, the pic is huge. what im looking for is advice on making the twisty kinds of braids. on the actual sweater the twists kinda are detatched. I think it's called cable knit braiding or something like that.

Thanks so much!
crossposted to knitting, sorry.

Made these leather poppy pins this weekend. I've got the blisters to prove it!

When I resized the pictures to post it changed the shape, but they are an oval shape. The metallic pink one is the closest to what the shape they really are.

Hi everyone. I've combed the FAQ for ideas [and ended up finding MORE things I wanted to do - like I have nothing else to do but crafts! Hah, I wish] Anyhow, I couldn't find the answer, so I was wondering if any of you had some suggestions.

I'm in university, and I recently bought 5 feet or so of canvas and cut it into squares. I've given each of my friends a square and instructed them to use paint or markers or whatever they want on it. Now! The hard part.

What do you think I should do, upon receiving the squares back? Is there anyway you can forsee making them into a blanket of sorts [canvas is NOT comfortable, as is]? Or hanging them nicely?

Thank you for your time..

Hi,
I'm really into hemp jewelry, and was wondering if any of you guys knew of any online websites that sell really good quality hemp. Also, any good websites that sell beads?

I'm thinking of selling some hemp jewelry just so I can have some other source of income apart from my job, and I'd really appreciate any advice from people who are successfully selling their own creations online.

Thanks ^_^
