i'm pretty sure this isn't in the FAQ.

does anyone have experience with making purses out of felt? would that work? or would it fall apart or something?

i have tonsss of felt lying around..and the colors are so pretty, i just want to make a purse out of itt.

also, if i do end up making this purse, does iron-on interfacing stick to felt?

thanks. :)

i didn't see anything in the faq about this.

does anyone here know how to go about making a paper lantern?
one that i can use and not have it catch on fire or anything!

your help is appreciated.

is there a way to get gromets through paper without having to buy one of those punching things? it's only about fifteen pages... thanks!

I had a really nice black button up shirt that was suffocating me because it was way too small. I didn't want to give it away, so I decided to do something with it.

I have a lot of purses lying around and I wanted to have a place to put them. I can't really think of any ways besides crates and hooks. I wanted to display them so crates wouldn't work and I don't feel like hanging up 30 some odd hooks around my room. Any ideas?

Attn Vancouver Crafty people!

Has anyone been downtown today? or have you seen the news?

i'm really upset about Spartacus, cause i love that bookstore, and Cabbages'n'Kinks, cause they actually carry some plus size fishnets, but what about Dressew?

Anyone know? I know it wasn't their building, but there must be water and/or smoke damage. damn! i was too lazy to go down there yesterday!

***EDIT** i hope this was okay to post, i didn't really think before i did. i just assumed that since Dressew is one of the best places in Vancouver to buy fabric, notions and crafty stuff, it would be okay*****

Hey crafters. I wasn't quite sure where would be appropriate to ask this, so hopefully this is okay here! So here's the deal - I have a ton of posters I want to hang up except I have no idea how to go about it.

Here are things I've tried and not really loved:
- tacks, pins, etc
- that putty like stuff-- it leaves grease stains behind
- adhesives (like those 3m picture hanging squares, etc)
- frames -- not cost-efficient in this case

Does anyone have any other good ideas? I'd preferably like to not put holes in them or have the chance of ripping them when removing them later on.

Thanks!

Awhile back on here I saw this really awesome pin/magnet board made from aol tins. I really want to try something like it, but I live in Australia, a place completely barren of said aol tins. Can you guys think of anything I could use as an alternative? The only thing i can think of is square oven trays, only they don't come in square and the edges would look ugly. Can you get cd trays from office or hifi stores, or were they just something aol had made up? I saw that site in the memories you can order them from, but ordering from OS is expensive and a hassle.

Oh, and if someone could give me a link to the photos of the pinboard I'm talking about, that would be awesome too :D Thankyoou!
