i want to make my best friend fuzzy cherry dice for her new car. i had this tutorial once on how to make a normal square one and it had a styrofoam cube in it, with fabric on top, and it looked super easy. Could I duplicate this but with a sphere styrofoam ball? how would i go about making the fabric go in a circle?

any one have any ideas on how to do that or other ways to make the cherry part? thanks :D

psshh, text-only because i said so and im awesome, thats why. :P

I apologize for my recent absence, I haven't done anything crafty in a while because of my grandad passing.
I started up again and bought new materials and crap so here I am!
I made a frilly decorated choker necklace earlier. If I ever make and sell anything it will probably be some of these.

What is the best way to go about making compartments in Altoid tins? The rectangular ones, of course. :)
I have some cardstock, which I would think would be too flimsy, and I have some really heavy cardboard, which is going to be too thick.

Suggestions would be appreciated. :)

I'm not sure how many of you are in the bay area, but I figured this was worth asking. I'm having a pirate-theme party pretty soon, and have been thinking about trying to sew something for my costume. My last experience at the local JoAnn's left something to be desired, so I was wondering if anyone here might have better suggestions.

I live in Redwood City, would prefer somewhere on the penninsula, but anywhere from San Francisco to San Jose is fine. I'm looking for decent prices and a really wide variety of cheaper fabrics that would work well for costumes and basic skirts, cotton or blends. Thanks!

I'm taking my permit test (for driving) Monday and I'm nervous as hell, so I decided to clean my room up to get my mind off it. I've come across a lot of stuff, I'm wondering if you all have ideas as to what I could do/make with this stuff!

--Oodles of that plastic string stuff...I'm thinking it's called lanyard? The stuff people used to make those bead creatures out of.
--Oodles of ponybeads, all different colors
--The board to actual board games, along with the pieces and dice
--Unlimited amount of seedbeads
--Super thin wire and super thin elastic
--Old folders for school (like the type with designs/pictures on the front)
--Plain see-through CD cases
--A Twister mat
--Pop-open Pokeball things
--Old NES controllers that don't work

I know most of that is kinda random but I just can't make myself throw it away, I know there has to be some use for it all! *is a pack-rat*

I know its easier to buy marshmellows, but the novelty of making them as a gift is cool... >.>

Oh and watch out for your hair... I somehow coated the end of my braid in sugar syrup...XD
Also, if this is deemed "uncrafty" I will not mind having it removed by mods

My mom got me a record book thing for checkbooks, but I only have like 4 checks that I got free when I opened my account, so I don't have a checkbook. So I decided to make a little thing to hold it. No biggie but thought I'd share. :]

Outside, boring boring.

So I have a question for all of you craftgrrls. My best friend and I use to write notes to each other all through out high school, just on plain notebook paper. My best friend is an awesome artist and really funny as well, so i saved a mojority of the notes. Now i sort of want to do something with them so they don't just fade away in a box in my closet. Any ideas how i could display them creatively in a scrapbooks or anything? I am horrible at scrapbooking, but any ideas from you guys would be completely rad.

thank you thank you thank you!

I made this for all of the jewelry that I own. I am quite proud. It is a piece of cardboard with fabric glued onto it, a few ribbons glued on and some push pins with beads hot glued to the ends. It was easy as heck!

And a flowerpin )
