So my friend and I want to do Salem's Bizarre Bazaar in the middle of October. Problem is its 175 for a booth, and we can't pay that. So, I'm thinking that if any of you crafty bitches want to make some halloween stuff to sell, let me know, even if you live far away you could mail it to me.. The more people that do it, the less the fee is, but at minimum i want to try and get four people to do it... then it will just cost 44 bucks..

So, let me know if you are interested, problem is, i need to know by ThursdaY! eep.

I realize this is silly (if I didn't suck so much I probably wouldn't need a pattern) but does anyone know where I can get a free pattern for boxer shorts on the internet? When I searched all I got was porn :(

thanks a bunch!

The New York Times has an interesting article today about the various crafts that prisoners do while incarcerated. Some of them are really ingenious - how about a pair of baby shoes made from woven ramen wrappers??

Here's the complete text: does a braided escape rope count as a craft? )

My 5 month anniversary with my incredible boyfriend is in 2 days, so I made him a card to mail to him.  He lives about 5.5 hours away, so I won't be able to see him on our actual anniversary.

Made with glass beads, fossil beads, sterling silver and a cloisonne bee pendant.

I got a new order from FMG today that contained the display model so I had to whip something up to put on her.

A little something I made for a swap over on Craftster.

Those who are participating in Craftster's RAINBOW SWAP (sign up ends 9/30),
Please turn away for now. )

Any ideas?

My boyfriend is in DIRE need of a wallet. I've told him for years he's needed one, and now he's finally caved. The catch? He wants me to make him one.

Now, I WAS thinking of the good ol' Ductape wallet, but I was wondering if there were any other more creative or unusual wallet patterns out there you all might be willing to share. :D Links, pics, guides, how-tos, I'm up for anything.

Thanks in advance!

Ok, I apologize for this post, because I know it had been posted before asking this...

A while ago, one of you made a really really cute box for I believe your boyfriend. In it you wrote "I love you" in many different languages... does anyone have any idea what the date of the post asking for all the different sayings is?!

Thank you so much!!

i am on a decoupage rampage, decorating lab books and duotangs. it's going very well except for one thing - i can't find a non-sticky finish. so far i've tried podgy (canadian modge podge ripoff), puzzle kote, and soft gel of golden gel mediums, which is FOR decoupage. i guess in most cases, modge podge would do very well, but in my bag my books are squished together, and some colour came off the back of my duotang onto the decoupaged front of another.

i considered a spray sealer, but the ones i looked at said explictly NOT for decoupage.

i also tryed the wax-paper rubbing thing, but it's still a little sticky.

help?

so this ain't text-only )

Hello fellow arts and crafts fans! :D I dunno if anyone's interested, but awhile ago, I started this community called: [livejournal.com profile] cute_crafts specifically for any cute arts and/or crafts ^_^ (I know, there's already 439850495 different craft communities out there, but I couldn't find any specially dedicated to cute stuff, so I figured why not. haha) It was pretty dead up until tonight when I decided to [try] and resurrect it, so I posted a few of my own things, and am currently looking for more members. hehe

So yes, if you enjoy making cute things, or just viewing cute things, feel free to join [livejournal.com profile] cute_crafts :)

And now, just to offset the plug above, here is one of the crafts I recently posted to said community!

a collage with more pics here )

This is a teapot I made in my high school ceramic class ^_^ I've never actually tried it, for fear of breaking it, but i think if I were to try it, it'd work! (god, did I say "it" enough in that sentence? haha) The water goes in her back, and then there's a tunnel that goes through her head, and the tea would pour out of the hole in the middle of the flower on her head :) the tail functions as a handle.

So yes, in short, I hollowed out a cute little equine's innards by cutting a hole in her back, created a tunnel through her neck, only to serve delicious piping hot tea through her. Ahh, science.

everyone: What the hell did that have to do with science?

me: Did I say science? I meant crazy.

Aside from My Little Pony, I was also inspired partially by the Pony Puff Princesses on Dexter's Lab. haha :D

for added fun, you can pretend that you're drinking a cup of her brains! enjoy a refreshing cup of My Little Brains. HOORAY!

I want to make something sweet and random for my boyfriend. My work schedule just changed, so we aren't seeing much of each other lately, and I just want to make him a crafty little something to let him know how much I love him and that I'm thinking about him.

Ideas?

And just so I'm not making an annoying "help meee!" post, here are a few things that I've made for him in the past that are excellent for little gift ideas for your sweeties.

Okay, I THINK this was posted in this community, but it was so long ago and I can't find it...

However. There was a website that a girl made to sell her crafts. She sold bags and buttons, and maybe other things. I remember a button that said "I <3 Lizzie Maguire" and another one that said "Fag Hag". I remember loving things on the site...but I can't remember the name of it or where I found it. I know this is a long shot, but is there anyone here who knows of this site? I'm fairly certain this is where I found the link, long ago...

thanks in advance!

So here is a necklace that I made for my best friend. It's to wear with her wedding dress. All of us brides maids/maid of honor are going to be wearing a wine color. It's all made of garnets, freshwater pearls, and silver. **edit, because I was having a horrid time with LJ cut for some reason**

I hope she likes it )
