Does anybody know where I can get some Marilyn Monroe stencils?  I've tried making them, using photoshop.. but, to be honest, I'm not really that talented... I'm going to keep trying though, just in case I cant find one...

Thanks!

I don't want to break any rules, so I'll be careful about what I post and how I ask this.
I have a crafting opportunity for you gals, but I'm not sure if this fits under the guidelines.
Would it be breaking rules to ask if anyone could craft something for my friend, who would pay you, and plans to donate partial profits to charity?
Or maybe someone could recommend a website of someone who does stenciling of shirts..like someone from craftgrrl, craftster, or any other DIY type person. I know there are websites where you can design your own shirts, but those are pricey.

Please don't throw marble magnents at me, or something.

I made this box a while ago, it seems quite plain and I'm not sure what to embellish it with, any suggestions?

I’ve decided that fleece legwarmers are the solution to survive the harsh frigidity rapidly approaching New England winter. Does anybody know of any non-knitting / crochet patterns for these? I’m thinking I can just buy some nifty looking fleece off of a bolt and sew the pieces cut according to whatever pattern together on a sewing machine. I think they’d make a nice first sewing project, but I’m a bit apprehensive abut them falling down and/or not fitting my lower legs (since there is a lot of variability between people in size).

I also want to make a really warm fleece hat (like, double layered). Just the kind that goes down over your head, and possibly with ear flaps. Nothing fancy.

Anyway, I’d appreciate any suggestions. Xo.

These were modified for a club night I am going to tomorrow night whose theme is Apocalypse: Big Gothic Armageddon! If you can't tell, the closest to the type of goth I could be classified as is Perky.

Yep, I took some military gear and made it prettified. The lenses of the military goggles has been glitterfied and the gas mask's canister used to be army green.

I think that the gas mask is going to make the outfit, but I think it needs a bow first to match the pretty flower. I won't be wearing the goggles anywhere, but on top of my head and I doubt I'll be actually wearing the gasmask on my face. It has a long strap which makes it pretty versatile.

Yeah, I know, I do some really strange stuff, but it matches the pink Hello Kitty circle skirt I made with the black petticoat that goes under it. I swear. And the neat thing is, I painted this in such a way that the gas mask is still usable.

Hello all! I've been a member here for a while but have posted very little. So, I finished a purse tonight and figured I'd show it off here :)

How wide is a scarf normally? I am starting to knit myself one (my first knitting experience and I'm not sure how wide to make it... how long?

(I live in Phoenix - we don't wear scarfs. lol.)

I guess this is my first endeavor into making myself something. My first project is this stunning Bjork swan dress for Halloween. My mom is a genious when it comes to sewing so I'm not overly concerned but hoped one of you could point me in the right direction.

The dress looks like this:
Swan Dress

My question is, do I sew feathers or just hot glue them? What other tips can you guys offer me?

Carving pumpkins is a little difficult for me. The hardness of the pumpkin makes it hard to cut little details, so while I can do a traditional triangle-eye toothy-grin jack-o-lantern, I have a hard time making anything really fancy. Any tips? Would putting the pumpkin in the oven for a little while soften it just enough to cut more easily but not so much it becomes a mess? Or..?
