hello all!
its 1:18 AM and i am finally finished with the front & back of my sweater. now onto sleeves, only i have no idea how to read this one (very crucial line) in the pattern--can someone break it down for me?

Change to larger needles (done!) and proceed in stocking st inc 1 st each end of needle on 5th and following 4th rows to 58 sts and then on following 6th rows to 78 sts.

--i tried doing the math, adding 2 st to 44 then to 46 etc...but then by the "5th"(row?) i was up to 54..and then though to just inc 1 st in the following 4 rows ot make 58. but then i was baffled as to how to get to 78.

much love <3

Hey guys! I've actually got a question. Prepare yourself for a bit of nerdiness. For the next anime convention I will be attending, I have decided to cosplay as Talim from SCII. Now, she's got this funky necklace, which you can see here )

Yeah so I did the classic button shank removing technique and I'm VERY happy with the simple results:

I'm not sure if this is the ENTIRELY correct place to ask, but does anyone have any henna experience/tips/hints/tricks/proper places to ask?

Ps: hi everyone, I'm new!

hi; i know a lot of you craftgrrls sell your stuff online, and i was wondering where i could buy plastic sleeves in various sizes to package flat things like cards, stationery, etc..

i'm looking for plain clear ones that are sealed on three sides, and have an open top.. then i could just staple tags on the top to seal them, but the kinds that have that re-sealable flat opening are nice too.

* EDIT:
I found these and these, and I'm wondering if I can trust ordering from either of these two places, or if I'm able to find these for around the same price and/or cheaper at a store like Target or Michaels?

someone had the idea of making matching stationery (can't find the comment, but it was someone either in [livejournal.com profile] craftgrrl or [livejournal.com profile] papercrafts), and great idea - thanks :)

Hey crafty ladies and gentlemen, besides wishing you all a happy new year, I'm also doing some much needed end of the year cleaning. I received my Sampler of goodies this past month and I got a complimentary pattern from Sublime Stitching. I don't stitch but would like the pattern to go where it'd be most appreciated. Of course, I wouldn't dream of selling the pattern for profit. Therefore, does anyone want it? E-mail me at leslie dot yang at gmail dot com and I can mail it to you on January 3rd.

Moderators, I hope this alright, I'm not trying to promote anyone or sell anything. If it's not okay, I'll remove the posting. Thanks! Party safe tonight, everyone! =)

UPDATE: Thanks [livejournal.com profile] hawkamaka, it's all yours! Enjoy!

I want to make bookmarks to send people in the mail.  They have to go overseas, some of them, so they can't be heavy, and I need to make about 20, so they can't take too long to make.  I want them to go out by Feb 2 at the latest.  I would like them to be interesting and they don't all have to be the same, so I'm taking all suggestions.
