Yeah, so I posted this (http://www.livejournal.com/community/craftgrrl/5495866.html) earlier this month. I finally got around to fixing it. Haha. I really wanted to do the thumb thing as suggested in a comment, but when I ran it by my friend, I don't think she liked the idea much. So picky...
But anyways, I just made an entirely new bag. I was just going to add a new bottom, but I didn't really like the bag to begin with. The interfacing was too thin and the bag itself was pretty big considering my friend carries around few things. So I made the new bag smaller.

I think the applique is a little too close to the bottom, but oh well. I didn't have very much interfacing left, so I made due.

Awhile back..im really not sure when, a month or so, someone posted a necklace they made that was a reproduction/similar to a runway necklace.

It was really simple..wood painted beads, but i want another look at it, so if you have the post or if you made it..can you give me instructions/where you bought the beads.

Also, how do you paint wood beads without making a mess?

I'm trying to crochet a hat, and I don't know if It's going to turn out right. I'm using a basic SC with increases every other row, and I'm working in a ring. I was really just looking for some pictures of hats that are in the process of being made. I don't know if mine looks right, if I should start over, or what. It's kind of wavy on the outside, but I can flatten it when I lay it down. Is that how it's supposed to be? I don't understand how it's going to be a hat one day. My grandma said something about decreascing, but it's not in the pattern!

Help!

All I want is an orange hat with big bunny ears!
*cries*

Is it possible to knit/crochet a hat with a wide brim, like

Because I know it would be easy to crochet the round part that goes over your head, but I'm not sure how you'd made the hat just go straight out like that without it rolling up or something.

(I want to try making this felted, by the way, and I don't mind if it's really floppy, i just want the width.)

So, over break I was forced to stay at my grandmothers house and the only interesting thing you can do there is craft or fish...I chose craft! So onto the story!!

Duct Tape Mannequin!

I know I'm thinking about making a bunch of pregnancy clothes (since store bought maternity wear around here is not good) and I'm tickled about it!

I went to a thift store and found these inexpensive placemats made out of wood strips. I figured they would make EXCELLENT purses. What I did was snip out pieces of the wood inbetween the weaving so that you could put some fingers in there for a handle. The purse is fairly light and you can only get about 3 fingers in the handle so I named it the 3 fingered clutch.

Read more of the instructions and see more pics here: )

I have a ?.
I am whipping up a dress that I need not to waste too much time on. The problem is- I have to put boning in it. Its a black princess line A line strapless number. Therefore I was wondering if there was anyway that I could avoid making a lining and just attach said boning to the dress?
If I stitch it in black it will hardly be visible and the person wearing this will wear it for like 3 minutes.

Help.

Is it just me or does it seem like more and more people are trying to sell their creations on here? I think I have seen 2 this past week. . . :-(

I'm kind of bored and I feel like making some bead bracelets. I pulled out my beads and I have some with letters on them, do you know of anything I can put into words from the beads to make a bracelet? Like a little saying (ex: summer love, sunsets & car crashes ) and stuff like that.

I am so happy!
I just finished another experiment on my art overalls, pictures soon to be posted.
Imagine, if you will, an embroidered koi fish outline in green and purple, the spaces in between painted with acrylics to highlight the scales and eyes. And finally, to finish, water/waves surrounding the fish and trailing away into an ocean landscapy thing.

I'm gonna wear em' for my first day of work at my new job at Joe Picasso, but only after I add the art supply pocket invention on the bottom cuffs in paisley red print.

Gosh, i love overalls!

Does anyone else have any ideas to add to my experiment overalls?
They are experimental afterall, so all ideas are open to be used.

Pictures soon.

I know you're all tired of seeing them, but I just made my first tsumami flower, and I'm really happy with the way that it turned out.

So, today I got a skein of ribbon yarn (Moda Dea Ticker Tape) and I'd like to make a belt out of it. What's a good stitch pattern that will show off the texture of the yarn well? I haven't used ribbon yarn before, so yeah...

I am not sure if this is allowed here but I am in desperate need of a new TOTE. I would like to either have one custom made or just find a VERY GOOD place to buy one. I bought my last one at alisonrose.com and I loved it. I want something that looks professional.. and cute. Could someone point me in the right direction.

I absolutely love those mini junk foods that some of our LJ crafters make. I decided to try my hand at it, and um... these lovely piles of crap AKA Soft Serve on a cone and strawberry sundaes are what came out:

I haven't played with polymer clay in such a long time, but still, these were so tedious to make! Kudos to those masters out there. You really are awesome.
