Directing a commenter to selling info ~
Unless you vote that all selling posts should be deleted (either answer), posters will still be expected to direct a commenter to their selling info and then take the conversation elsewhere. That is why this was not listed as a seperate option ~ I think some people were confused by this.

i recently got back into making rings. so far i've been using plasitc party favor rings as a base, but they tend to break with too much wear (i've broken four already). my coworkers love my rings and some have asked me f i'd sell them some. my only problem is that i can't seem to find ring blanks anywhere. i've check the faq, because i believe someone posted about this previously, but i can't seem to find it. i've been to ac moore, michael's and i've even tried searching online. anyone have any suggestions as to where i should go?

EDIT:
because someone asked, here are the rings.

Aaah! I was on a craft hiatus while I read Harry Potter...good stuff, but not my favorite. But this is not the time nor the place. :) I do however come bearing many different crafts! Look below the cut for some neat things - magnets for my roomie, a "rockin" belt, new bags, and some pretty flowers.

I'm designing a bunch of cat collars, inspired by the lovely Mr. Manny Ramirez (that's him in the icon), and I'm having trouble finding buckles. At first I was looking for the ones that look like a belt, but then discovered breakaway buckles, which open and let the cat free if the collar gets stuck on something. But, well... they're kind of ugly. Does anyone know of some more aesthetically pleasing breakaway buckles, or have any suggestions as to how to spruce these ones up?

Hello hot sexy crafters,

About two weeks ago I decided that I wanted to learn how to crochet so I went to Michael's and bought myself a book that came with some hooks. It's going fairly well but I've run into a problem: I'll be going on a seven-hour drive to Quebec City this weekend and I'd like to bring the scarf I am making with me. However, I'm not sure how to pack it so that the current loop/stich won't fall off of the hook when I'm not using it and when it is in my bag. I thought that perhaps I could put a rubber band on either end of the hook to keep the current loop in place. Do any of you more experienced crocheters or knitters have any better ideas?

Merci beaucoup!

So I've recently inherited a large bag of fabric swatches.

I just couldn't help it. Now I'm tryign to figure out the best use for them.

Something I've been meaning to do is decopauge the top of my breakfast table, but have been to lazy to collect interest pictures to do so, do you think it would be possible to get good results doing it with the fabric (I guess that wouldn't be decopauge, but you know)? The mismatch colors would be fun, but I'm worried it would come out to lumpy. Maybe put glass on top of it?

Any other ideas for a bag fabric swatches is welcome as well!

I've been lurking for a while, but this is my first post. I'm inheriting a loom (not a small, round loom; a large, wooden table loom) and know virtually nothing about them, except that I'm excited at the possibility of weaving my own rugs, wall hangings, etc. If you're familiar with working with a loom, I'd love to hear about your experiences and comprehensive books on the subject. The loom has four hand levers. I have poked around online, but haven't found much information, and I trust your opinions more anyway. I also noticed nothing in the memories. Thanks.

Sorry for the size of the images. I kept them kind of large so it wouldn't be distorted when resizing.

mono + echo

mono (right) and echo (left) are mute, or possibly they just refuse to talk to anyone else. of course, even if you watched them for hours and hours it is unlikely you would here even a single sound. it appears that mono is the leader of the two but as she won't speak to anyone other than echo it is quite hard to tell. though they never make a sound they do appear to be quite sweet natured, leaving small wrapped candies and tiny origami cranes out for the children. unfortunately everyone is absolutely terrified of the girls, possibly due to their silence, possibly because of their affinity for black. whatever the reason their treats mostly go unclaimed, though they never seem to mind much.

I finished this gift pack for a trade with an lj member last week. We had to make 2 items that could be used to decorate the home. Now that she has it, I can show it to you all.

So... can anyone think of something that's really really cheap that I could use as bath bomb moulds? I don't really mind what shape they are as long as they look neat (but... no phallic shaped things. I can't believe I just had to put that warning, but I know you grrls XP )
[identity profile] some-emo-kid.livejournal.com
