..that you can do lino-cut-like-transfers using photocopies and sculpy clay?

Make a photo copy of the pic you want to transfer, cut it to shape, place-face down- on some flattened clay, (not too thin or thick), and use something with a flat tip, (I used the rounded end of a paperclip), to rub over complete image, then gently lift off and you will be able to see the transferred image, (you have to look close though!), then bake as directed...trim off any excess clay, cover with some ink and place a piece of paper over inked surface, rub and: Tah Da!

Sorry I couldn't post any pics, but, I don't have the capability....and, well, I was just so excited that it worked-one of the two I tried, at any rate-(don't even ask how I came to even think to TRY this!), that I had to share!!

Photos of my painted computer case. I might ask my boyfriend to do a quick finishing sanding job on it, and then I'm going to start sticking my strawberry stickers on it. ^_^ There's more details about the entire project in my BOREDGIRL blog archives.

Editted to add more info:
1. Underneath the DVD-RW & CD drives is a Fan Master fan controller made by Super Flower. It adjusts the speed of the fans that are inside my computer for cooling purposes / air circulation. The LCD screen reads out the temperature.

2. The blow-hole at the top of my computer has a fan attached to it with red lights. Boyfriend used a Dremel to cut it and it's there, also, for cooling purposes / better air circulation.

3. Window was cut out with a dremel and that's Lexan glass used in the window. We tried super glue to hold it in place, which didn't work out. Hot glue seems to be doing the job well, but we also used clear packaging tape on the inside for extra security. :)

4. What happened to those ugly ridges on the side panel? It's a SECRET! Just kidding.. we bought a second computer case, because the front panel got so fcuked up from the original paint job. We used the flat-side-panel from the second case and just turned it upside down, since the ridges were ugly and difficult to paint. The front panel is also from the second case we bought, but everything else are the original case's pieces.

These are some pieces I've made over the last week or so.  The first picture under the cut is a necklace I am donating to the craft sale at etsy.com for the Red Cross Hurricane Victims Fund.

Ooooh, shiny objects! )

I finally started doing some beadweaving a month or so ago, and I finished this spiral-stitch lariat recently. I am way too proud of it, so I have to brag. ;) Please click on it to see it close up.

Another photo of the necklace, and some other goodies... )

What have I been up to lately (other than working)? Well... I've been working on various crafting. Spinning delicious yarn, making fun earrings and creating my first set of bridal jewelry. I thought that I might share some photos of my works.

I've been crocheting the same sushi over and over and wanted to add a little variety to my collection, so I went ahead and made six sushi I haven't done before (or attempted in the past, but never liked the way I made them).

Crocheted Sushi - Ltd Edt.

Rotate your head, then from top to bottom, left to right: Tekka Maki (tuna), Ikura (salmon roe), Alaska Roll (crab, salmon, cucumber, avocado), Ika (squid), Unagi (eel), and Sake (raw salmon). Crocheted with 100% acrylic yarn and a size h-hook.

This is one of the final bits I created for the fashion show - I'll hopefully get some pics on Monday of the models looking gorgeous in Trina's threads and my beads, but anyhoo...to see some more pics check my journal.

No longer will I be dumping out everything in my purse to find the phone! This would have been a quick little project were I better able to foresee the complications of constructing one of these. As it is, it took three versions to get everything worked out, and I won't tell you what dumb things I did with the first two. Anyway, it's basically a four-sided bag with elastic around the opening to keep the phone from flying out, with a snap-closed loop. I simply love the fabric I used for this thing, and might even make a purse to match it. And yes, once I had it all figured out, it did only take one evening to make.

Finished this shirt the other day. There was a distressed polo at Milo in 5 Points (Jacksonville, FL). Those boutiques have really cute stuff but it's rediculous how much they charge. Bought the polo at belks for $8. Embroidered collar and sleeves, ripped seams of sleeves & "shirt tails". First job embroidering something. I was going to fill in the text but I like it this way. Any suggestions on making it show up more though?

Hope you likes it!!!!!

ch-ch-ch-check it out!!!! )

If you make something completely different out of fabric you have attained through recycled clothing, can you use the labels on the outside as embellishment? I'm assuming you couldn't put them on the inside, but how about the outside?

I've often wanted to put the remaining label on to let the end user know what it "may" have been.

my latest..

i was looking around ebay, researching the market for handmade bags; and i came across A LOT of auctions for DIY band merchandise. were talking big bands like green day, nine inch nails, the killers, my chemical romance etc...

this brings me to my question:
how are these people selling this stuff? ... arent the logos copyrighted or anything?
i just dont understand how these people arent getting into trouble is all
if someone could explain this to me, that would be great

p.s. if this isnt allowed, please delete it :)

After eating the delicious snacks inside, I made a purse out of a pocky box. It's covered in clear tape and has a satin rope handle a ribbon closure. I also added a little winnie the pooh (in a skunk costume) charm to the side.

pocky! )
