Okay I thought this was the best place to ask.
My boyfriend in obsessed with W.O.W. and I honestly know sooo little about it (I just started trying to play an hour ago, yeah this is my first video game ever). But I wanted to incorporate WOW into his Valentines gift, or at least his Valentines card.
I didn’t know if any of you have any ideas? Like possibly something that I could say in the card….I would have NO idea what that would be becasue i know so little about the game. But maybe something like “you can be my tank” or “something something……” I know no one else around here that plays WOW so I really have no one to ask. I love this community and get so many ideas from it, you gals are great. Thanks so much.

Earrings, Necklace, Pouches )

I know a lot of people ask this question.. but how much do you think any of these things in this post would sell for? Or more specifically, if you were interested in these - give your price range... I am really lost when it comes to pricing these sorts of things... and I've never sold anything.. but I am really interested in it.. and I don't know, I want some opinions? (psst, if you ask me about selling these to you in the comments, I will uh.. be angry. and so will mods probably.)

I have a coworker that found out that I was crafty, because I was discussing the veil thing with the coworker I spoke of earlier. Coworker number 2, we'll call her C2, asked if I could help her with her problem. It's a photoalbum/scrapbook problem, and I'm so stumped that I'm coming to you guys to see if there's anything that can be done other than my first idea.

Issue: When she was very young she was given a photobook/scrapbook and some of her own pictures. She was allowed to do whatever she want with it. She was at an age where, well, one doesn't quite think things through. She glued the photographs to each page with, get this, maple syrup. Yes, no joke.

She is obviously older now. The syrup is starting to chemically react to the photo paper or the book paper or something. She described it as the photographs starting to "melt" and made a gesture like she was trying to pull them off of the paper, so I assume that means that if she tries to disconnect them they start melting/discinigrating.

Once I finish the veil, I'm going to ask her to bring them in so I can try to help her with it. This is the only thing I could think of to do:

Keep the pictures ON the book. Scan the pages in high quality. Use Photoshop7, which I have, to crop the images and bring them down to their original size, and try to fix any quality errors made from the maple syrup, though I probably won't do much of the latter as I'm not too great with Photoshop. Then I'd burn those to a CD, take them to Walmart, and have them printed up. From there I'll just start fresh, get her or make her a new scrapbook, and mount them in the book correctly.

Is there anything at all I can do to salvage the originals, or is my idea really the best one out there?

my boyfriend took me shopping last weekend, and while we were at target and i was trying to find some adorable little kid valentine cards to give out to my friends, i came across a valentine's day ice cube tray. and since they didn't have any arthur or blue's clues valentines, i thought "hmm... i could make soap with this ice cube tray and give them out for valentine's day!"

so i bought the tray. and this week, i tried it out.

(five of the valentines.)

plus two )

i'm probably going to make more this weekend... little soaps are so much more fun to make than regular sized ones, they cool and harden so much faster. it took me about two hours to make four dozen little soaps, and that includes the hardening of them and popping them out of the tray. so much fun.

thanks for looking!
heart, jenny

I made this little white mouse. He is about 4" tall and made from white cotton and wool felt. He is wearing a blue wool scarf with a pompom on each end. I hope you like him! To see more of my crafting adventures check out my weblog at http://www.whileshenaps.typepad.com

I had to reinvent the wheel because I'm like that. I'd never made a ruffle, which I sort of faked, or a button hole, and I was working with swatches and scraps, so, this is what I ended up with.

As a further disclaimer, I had to stuff it with socks to photograph. The plan was to make it a sleeping pillow with lavendar, hops, etc but I'm sort of torn now. It's amusing and kind of a good size to put random stuff in as a gift for someone who likes, well, pink.

So there hasn't been a post in a couple days and I don't have that much new except... keep your eyes peeled for a new BIG project I'm working on that will hopefully be ready in a few days, or at least worth presenting my progress on. Trust me... it's on of the most complicated things I've tried to make yet... Here is the first part- just a little teaser

The plus side to working in visual display: free access to all sorts of cool stuff just begging to be crafted with...

mannequin heads (sunglass displayers)- $0.00
clear plexi for shelf - $0.00
black plexi for shelf backing - $0.00
design master "holiday red" spray paint - $0.00
marine goop for adhering pieces together - $0.00
creepy but cool shelving - priceless

hi there. i've been googling and reading for some time now, but i thought i'd ask here to see if someone already knows the answers to my questions.

i'd like to make a ring and a bangle out of shrink plastic. how do i curve it to fit properly? if you have any links or suggestions, i'd appreciate it. i guess this is the same principle as curved napkin rings, but i haven't found anything specific on those either.

I've posted here a couple of times before.
I still haven't figured out the sewing machine,
but that's okay because I like sewing by hand,
and I haven't done anything big yet.. so!

I just wanted to show my IB Biology project I made earlier this year.
We were supposed to use anything to show the plant/animal organelle functions,
through some creative analogy.. and so, since I like to sew,
I thought I'd sew my project, while everyone else made little booklet illustrations.
annnnd I just realized someone posted a biology project earlier, hehe x :

and with that said:

I am going to name this "So Not Worth It" because it is just that - way more work than it should have been and I am just not pleased. It holds a lot, that's it's plus side. That's about it. Ha!
