i have a pillow that i want to embroider something on, but the problem is, the pillow is store-bought. how should i embroider it so the knot that anchors the thread isn't visible?

one more - if you use paint marker on cloth, is the smell permanent?

Hey all! This is my first time posting, a few things I have been working on for my boyfriend for Valentines Day, along with homemade fortune cookies (with Chuck Norris jokes inside), and a case of SnackPack pudding. The boy is easy to please :)

I was asked to make this weeks ago, and just started it two days ago. Crocheting is a dangerous passtime.

Ok, ladies, so I've been inspired by all of the cool monsters and other animals you've been making lately and I've decided to create a squid for the boyfriend for V-day. It's going to be a batman squid, and I promise to post pictures when I'm through, but I was hoping you could help me come up with a clever name for him. Something playing on Bruce Wayne/Batman but that has to do with a SQUID. I may be SOL here, but since you all are so creative, I thought I'd give it a try!

And, so this isn't text-only, a scarf I'm working on: )
Thanks in advance for any help!!

I keep tossing this idea around my head.. but I can't figure out how the heck I would do the separator.. I would normally say I don't need it just so I didn't have to make it... but I really want to make it...  I just can't figure it out! I have a few ideas... but I don't know if they would make enough sense?

Ideas... )

edit: It's a wallet.. the grey with lines is clear vinyl for my license.. light blue is a zipper for my coins... blue is inside, yellow is just to show the separator.. and the purple polka dotted fabric is the main fabric... it will hold money and receipts and things like that

Hi, I'm new and my names Kourt.
For Valentines Day, I'm making my bestfriends brown bag lunches, (with peanut butter &jelly, a valentine card &conversation hearts). But, I seem to think that's not all that could go in there. Any suggestions?

Grrls (and any boys who are willing to help),

I just knit a baby bootie and it looks great, but before I sew the ribbon on I need some advice. In which Jenny asks for help and posts a picture )

Here's a painting I made of Jessie, our yellow lab. It's entitled Jessie's dream world. :) The colors aren't true to life because I just used the scanner and I don't have my photoshop program on this computer yet to be able to tweak it. Anyway, I'm really happy with how it turned out and my husband likes it too. Now I've got to do one for our other dog, Maggie. hehe

I've been hecka crafting for Valentines Day. The scarf is ModaDea Ticker Tape and I got it for 2$/Ball which is amazing because it normally runs for like 8! The mixed media frame is my BF's Valentines Day gift. It's been decoupaged, painted, and drawn on. I also added letters from an old scrabble set. The heart piece I made also. I also made his Valentine. It's got a lyric from Screaming Infidelities by DC but it's an inside thing. Last are the Valentines for my friends. Some have song lyrics, others just say Happy Valentines Day.

Oh maybe, we were made for each other... )

Comments?

Edit://
Danny (11:33:59 PM): Lolz, hahah the scrabble. You are worth one more point than tuan.

Warning: Simple knitting question ahead.

I am kinda new at doing patterns other than knitting and purling. sooooo.....

What exactly does yarn around needle mean? It says bring yarn around needle from front to back, but I am not quite sure how that should be done.
