So here's what I've conjured up for my boyfriends V-day presents. I made a movie frame following this tutorial, and figured out the long-hair Ken doll thing from my last post.

Here's the background; he's a film-maker...he has a local TV show called Ieatpoop (it's on the doll's box), and he's working on a perverted puppet film for a Canadian television network (hence the picture frame).

(Yeah his foot is in hamster pee...oops haha should probably clean that up...)

Now...what to do with the dried petals? I was thinking of Rose Beads, but I'm not sure...any other suggestions?

Does anyone on here know how to make Potpouri? (spelling?)

TIA!

PS- Thanks to everyone for the help on the Marble Magnet Wall!

Hello! I want to paint my kitchen cobalt blue (think blue via Mary of Mag.) with light tropical greens. What is the best paint to get there? I do not want to put on coat after coat!!

Also, if you are down with the paint selection there, would you recommend a blue?

I would like to find individuals who have cool art. Besides the lj communities on here, can you recommend websites where people are selling? I unfortunately cannot pay lots and lots.

Also, I would like to fill a wall with mermaid art in the kitchen.

MMmmmmm mermaids.

Thank You!

My friend has a graphics company. Among other things, he creates and installs graphics on fleet vehicles such as police cars, fire engines and ambulances in the state of Michigan. He recently drew up plans for a custom tool pouch that would serve his needs, since he couldn't find one that fit his Xacto knife, squeegy, paramedic shears, 6" steel rule, measuring tape, and business cards properly. I've been thinking about this project since early December and working on it since January 3rd. There are a couple things I will do differently next time, but I'm happy with how it turned out.

I have a can of Krylon Easy Tack repositionable spray adhesive.
I am wondering if any of you have experience with this? More specifically I am wondering if I spray this onto fabric, will the glue come out in the wash?

Meow!

I used this pattern. I think mine is kind of floppy but it has a collar and bell so it is superior. I hope she likes it!

Hi All ))

Sooo I've been into sewing for a very long time but I have only hand sewn up to this point. For xmas my bf got me a really nice sewing machine and I am excited but I am also not exactly sure how it works. It came with two bags of little parts and a manual that addresses certain parts and names them but I think knowing how to use the machine is implied. I just don't want to break it or anything. It's a Euro-Pro. Anyway, if anyone could give me a quick run down on how to use it or some pointers I would be very very thankful and lucky.

Peace

xo

I finally finished my "Silver Medal" hat in honor of the Winter Olympics!  The brim was made of a soft fluffy silver and white, the main portion of the hat is a stark white fluffy yarn. You can't see it very well in this pic, but the top third of the hat is a fluffy metallic silver color. On the right side of the hat, there is a white and silver crocheted flower pin that is removable.

Submitted for your amusement, I have three crafts; a plushie, customised MLP with matching purses, and some HP-geeky fluff.

First is the plushie I made for my bf. The body is made from that Japanese craft-book pattern which has been floating around lately. He was partly inspired by a weird cartoon aired on our national tv station, The ^very^ good adventures of Yam roll in the Happy Kingdom, where all the characters are pieces of sushi. (o_0 yeah, I know)

please meet, Baby Dynamite!

more sushi, plus lots of pink! )

Here's hoping everyone had a great Valentine's day! I love all you craftgrrls (and guys)!
