I've been really keen on using fabric and other yarns to create interesting ribbons of yarn.

I thought Xs are cuter than beads.

Here's something I just recently finished - another felt animal. I made him out of felt, sead beads, and his legs are wire wrapped with embroidery floss.

I need to make a shrug for this, but I must say, I'm very pleased with how this came out. I didn't use a pattern, I winged it, and bias tape is my new best friend.

Le Tigre wakes me up in the morning quite well. )

In the spirit of spring: flower and flower petal arrangement! Hopefully I'll be getting more Jones' soda bottles this week to replace the end bottles.

Made this for my sister's birthday. She's just turned 17 and is my biggest fan with regard to earrings, so I made her something to keep them all together...

Hey all! Thanks so much for the wonderful community, I love all the great ideas here.

My craft of choice is definitely cross stitch, though I work mostly from pattern. I tend to take a long time to complete them, because I like doing larger ones.

Thanks for reading! :)

Hey guys! I made my friend this pin for her birthday -- it was a prototype, to explain the... er, shall we say, "unpolished-ness" of it.

It's simply three guitar picks, jump rings, rhinestones, sterling silver chain, and a pin back.

[The picture's under 400x400, but if it's messing up anyone's page, just leave a comment and I'll stick it behind a cut. :D]

Hi, I'm not sure if this is allowed, but hey.

I'm planning on studying Fashion Design or Jewellery Design after my finals this year, but am thinking of taking up a job or two for about a year or so to gain some experience. I was thinking doing sales at some boutique or at a crafts store, but does anyone have any brighter ideas? I'd really appreciate any help.

Ok. I colored one and cut it up, I have several idea's as you'll see if this works, this is just the paper cut up when I get one done offically it's gonna be on cardstock laminated and then put a layer of fun foam and craft wood down and then velcro for the back, and then a board piece for them to be stuck too

I have someo ther coloring pages I think it'd be fun to grid like this and make up if the item turns out well.

I want to do these for the fun bags heavenlyangelsinneed.com sends out, for kids in hospitals and stuff.

This is it before cut out

This is my first post here! I've been lurking for a while and figured it was time to post.

My mother is a Wizard of Oz group online and they have a scrapbook page swap set up. I bought everything to scrapbook and created the pages for her, which are all the same, so I'm just posting a photo of my very first one. Not bad for someone who literally just started on Saturday, eh? I'm quite proud of it! I think it's cute.

My mom still has to decide what photos she wants to use on her page so it'll change, but probably not much.

My first page )

I do have a couple of questions, also. I tried cooking Fimo clay in my convection oven and it burned. What do you set your convection oven to when you cook your fimo? I cooked mine at about 275 for less than 20 minutes and it still browned.
Also, what is fimo supposed to feel like when it's cooked? Rubbery? Hard?

Thanks! :)

So I'm designing a male messanger bag, and I really want to put a chain as the strap, but I realize this may end up slightly painful if the bag is heavy....would you carry one?? (girls and guys, please answer) Here's a paint produced concept art....I got the dragon from an icon I saw on LJ...

ohhh man purse! )
