I just made myself quit working on this bridal veil. I spent HOURS on making the tulle and sewing everything. I don't even know anyone who is getting married!

I really wanted to attach pearls and swarovski crystals to it. However, my time has run out tonight. I am calling it done.

I am very pleased at how it came out. I used my Crissy doll to model it :)

Anyways, here it is...

Close up of the comb. Wirewrapped with swarovski and pearls.

I am having my first DIY jewellry stall at the end of this month, and I just think of my layout, I have lots of ideas of price tags and sale items but how do you display really pretty items without them being stolen?

Pictures of your stalls would be great...  I was thinking of making a staple work pin board but seeing as I have to use public transport I just want to get as many ideas as I possibly can and figure out which is the best untill I get a CAARR.

Thanks in advance.

Hey all. I'm a new member - and have been for atleast the past week. I didn't have anything to really post before since some of the things I had been working on were gifts and I didn't get to take any pictures of them beforehand.

However, I had more time on my hands - and decided to sort through old clothes just taking space in my closet. I took an old pair of khaki work pants I had and a button up shirt that didn't fit anymore - and made this

tonight i attempted to paint a desk my cousin gave me. i was told that she painted it herself before giving it to me, and i'm guessing they used a clear gloss finish. when i went to stencil the desk, the paint wouldn't take at all. it was all smudgy and easily wiped off. i used acrilyc paint. my questions are a) should i use a different type of paint other than acrylic? or b) should i paint the entire desk first before i try and use the acrylic?

i know absolutely nothing about paint so i could be way off on this. if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. thanks a lot!!

I took a lampwork bead making class a little while back. I enjoyed it a lot. I want to save up and buy a torch and stuff so I can do it at home.

Here are the beads I made. )
