Okay so another question i am using nylon thread and i have no idea how to add a clasp.
Problem is that when i add the first bit of the clasp its fine but when i add the last one and i want it to be flush against the beads there is this massive gap and all the beads move when i want them to stay in place. I hope you understand me its a bit of a weird explanation sorry about that.
:/

Basically the problem is that the end bit of the clasp the last bit to put on does not keep tight with the beads and thus the beads move around and i don't want that.

Art Swap

Dear Creatives,
I am interested in finding a community or individuals who would like to trade artwork. My last community (6x6_collage) didn't work out to well, as the people were not dedicated to the craft. I need earnest people who are passionate about art. My hope in this group(or individuals) is to be able to get an assortment of different collages/art by creative people and to be able to share my art with others who may appreciate it. If anyone would like to have a one-on-one swap with me( Sounds kinky, I know), please feel free to e-mail or IM me at MSN designworkx@hotmail.com or AOL at OrlandoArtist29(M-F 8:00- 5:00 EST). Serious participants only.... but anycontributed information is much appreciated. Have a creative day...

HELP!

I'm being forced into my sister's old room which is less than half the size of mine because I mostly live away from my home in NY (going to school in Wisconsin). Anyway, I plan on repainting the room I'm moving into and I was thinking of painting one wall (or the sloping ceiling) in a black and white (or black and another color) checkerboard. Does anyone know of an easy way to do this? I've thought of taping it off, but I wouldn't even know how to go about doing that. The walls have a rough texture to them which makes things even more difficult.
Anyone have any other funky ideas of how to paint my "new" room?
My carpeting is going to be a burgundy/wine color and the paints I have to work with are: black, white, off-white, pale yellow, bright yellow, orange, purple and maybe a teal green color.

Thanks. :c)

For my grandmas funeral, we made a big tropical flower arrangement from the grand kids.

I want to preserve one of the birds-of-paradise flowers, but I have no idea what method is the best for this particular flower. It has a strange shape and is extremely thick, so drying and pressing wouldn't work. I also don't want to bake it, boil it, or microwave it. From what I've heard, freeze-drying is outrageously expensive- so if you've ever paid to have flowers freeze dried, would you kindly tell me how much it cost?

Ideas? Pictures of the flower are under the cut )

My fridge wants more artistic touches, so I'd like to make word magnets that are not only adult fun, but kid friendly for as she gets older.

Along with the colorful alphabet magnets I'd love to have new words, that hold things up well, and are decorative.

Suggestions of words and phrases to make into magnets would be awesome! Esp meaningful ones, and things fun for kids. I'm bad at thinking in kid thought!

My home just needs more of a "me" touch to it. I have been bad about that :)

I made another wristlet clutch! They were both satchels that previously held potpourri and I think I'm really happy with the results.

And here's a better view of the jellyfish applique.

Hey all! I just finished the non-dangly (guess you'd call 'em "posts") version of the Domokun earrings! I also have pics of the dangly ones now that actually work. So for your viewing pleasure...
