Hey crafty ladies! Long time lurker, first time poster. I came across a scrapbook I had started a couple of years ago and before I dismantled it I took pictures to share with you guys cause I was pretty pleased with the way it looked. (Not so pleased with the relationship detailed in it, hence the destruction.) I'll be using the book for something happier in the near future. I also have a question after the scrapbook pictures.

The massive posting of wristlets!

I went on a wristlet making campaign a few weeks ago and I thought I'd share the results! I did share the monkey print one a few weeks ago, these are the same pattern, just different fabrics :-)

and for something completely different..

This bracelet was made entirely by hand out of sterling silver wire and glass beads. I hammered and formed the base, wrapped the beads around, and made the clasp. It's really so pretty! *loves*

Or something like that. But I'm not talking tennis here. It's just that...

I love 'em.
They're sets.
And they match.

All I can think of is how one of Michael Kors' popular criticisms on Project Runway was, 'It's too matchy-matchy.' )

(There are like a ton of pics, so, fair warning!)

Mod-Podge

I have a question, is there a way to decoupage things without using Mod-Podge?

I received the beautiful paper from [livejournal.com profile] snottychristine (THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!).... and I would love to do something with it.... problem is, I don't have Mod-Podge. And I don't really have the money to go get some.

Is there a recipe I can make with stuff at home? I thought maybe a mixture of water and glue, and then I could clear coat it with sealant (I do have that! ). Would that work? Also, is it OK to decoupage on Sculptey?

Thanks Gals!

I was about to throw away a couple random magnets I've had for years, but was instead inspired to fix up, and add onto a couple personal keepsakes :)

My boyfriend got me a rose the other day [awww] and before it turns all brown and gross I'd like to coat it in polymer resin. Has anyone done this? Or should I just stick to using paraffin wax?

Hi everyone!

I had the idea of making a quilt (my first!) out of 12"x12" squares that have been decorated by my friends. So I was wondering, what are some good fabric markers? I'm looking for something that comes in a lot of colors, but that is, of course, waterproof and fadeproof.

Any suggestions for markers? Thanks!

Hi all, text only I'm afraid.

I am trying out a pattern that requires me to cast ON 20 stitches and then cast OFF 20 stitches in the middle of a row (to create a tuft).

My knitting skills are a little basic, and my excellent knitting book is in a box somewhere. Can anyone please explain to me in fairly simple terms how I follow these intructions?

(Edit - I had the "on" and "off" backwards.)

Edit 2 - the actual pattern segment that has thrown me:

"K2, cast on 20 sts, cast off 20 sts (to form tuft), *K6, cast on 20 sts, cast off 20 sts, rep from * to last two sts, K2"

After I cast on the first stitch, everything after that is more like yarn wrapped around the needle than an actual stitch. I've never cast on mid-row before, and I know there is a method that I am just unaware of. Google has not been my friend so far.
