I made a message board for goth crafters, gothic lolita, and elegant gothic aristocrats. We're not very strict, just a fun place like this board ^-^ I'm still working on it but if you sew or craft or just want to help me get some topics up for discussion please stop by. thank you *curtsies*

oh and there is a section you can post a link to your own store or site so others can stop by and hopefully buy your stuff.

I need to use some type of "glue" to hold felt onto yarn. What im doing with it is linning a box that I have made using plastic canvas and yarn.

My mom's birthday is Wednesday, so as part of her gift I made her a diffuser for her beloved lavender oil. (She previously had an oil soaked cotton ball sitting in a paper bowl on her dresser; not classy).
One 99 cent glass jar
two 49 cent thin pieces of wood (cut into varying heights with an exacto knife)
some marbles from her 1000 marbles project
a little of her essential oil
plus 10 minutes of time...
and presto!! A much nicer looking way to gently release the scent of lavender :

Happy crafting,

instead of buying a yearbook, this year i had my friends sign a pair of my favorite pants with a permanent marker.

how do i minimize fading in the wash? can i treat the ink somehow so that it will set better into the jeans material?

It was my BFF!!"s birthday the other day, and I had been promising that I'd make her a bag for ages. This is the result:

(Sorry about the crappy pictures, I forgot to take some before I gave it to her and her camera hates life.)

I made my first fabric flower today. )
I'm attaching it to a bag made out of the same material. The flower is pretty heavy. What would be the best way to securely attach it to the bag? Should I just try to sew it on? Or hot glue it? I've seen a lot of tutorials and posts on craftster where it's been hot glued to a round piece of cardstock and then a pin is attached to it. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :)

There were trees being cut down on my street, so now I have two cross-sections of tree trunk. Does anyone know what I should do to keep them from splitting or being consumed by critters? I'd like to sand them down a bit, varnish them, and put feet on them.

edited to add picture! )

Anyone have any ideas, besides flowers, for vases? I have 8 skinny vases hanging around in my house, and I'm too poor to keep buying a bunch of flowers, and too lazy to dust fake flowers. I'd like to do something a bit more creative with them.

My sister's wedding shower was today. All in all, I think it went off pretty well :) I am pleased and SUPER GLAD it's over. Now, I just have to make it through the wedding next weekend and then I can have my life back. This is the last "thing" looming over me.

Besides throwing the shower, I made her a gift. WARNING: It's TOTALLY cheezy and sappy, but I also think it's a wonderful and amazing concept and hell, when can you get away with being sappy EXCEPT at a Wedding Shower :P

It's called the Love Glove :D Basically, it's a two-person glove. One person puts their hand in one side (through the ribbed cuffs I knit), then the other person puts their hand in and then you can keep yer hands warm and toasty in the fleece heart (which I sewed up) while holding hands :D

My sister and her beau live in Virginia, so it makes sense for those long, romatic walks in the snow :P

I think it's adorable and I'm SUPER proud of how well it came out :D
