I was wondering if anyone could give me advice regarding business cards. I want to get some nice, high-quality cards printed. I've tried VistaPrint before and I really don't like their cards, so I'm not planning to order from them again. I've heard that www.overnightprints.com is good. Does anyone have any experience with them? Any other suggestions? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Also, here's a necklace I made a while back:

Would any of you have suggestions on the best way to go about putting holes through various seashells (clam, oyster, etc.)? The FAQ didn't wield any results, but I noticed the Dremmel being mentioned for other items.

I checked out A.C. Moore and they had some sort of beadhole enlarging device, which looked like a motorized, pointy file. I don't know if that would be tough enough to make it through a shell, but you never know!

Thanks in advance :)

I am thinking about having a rubber stamp made up for a project I'm working on that will involve a repeated skull image -- it's a lot of fabric I have to cover, and I don't really want to do it by hand...

Has anyone ever had a custom stamp made before?  Recommended sites?  Time/shipment/delivery?

Or, tips on making my own? The last stamp I made was a potato stamp for Halloween cards in, um...grade school?...so easy is great!  Someone sugeested fun foam, but I'm a little worried because there are a lot of rounded edges, and every time I try and do something with foam, it look kind of hacked up and torn. (I'm usually pretty crafty and stitchy-witchy, too, so it puzzles me to no end that I can't work with teh stuff!)

Thanks in advance!!

Hi (again). I'm sorry for asking a question twice in one day but I am really desperate and if someone could help me with this, I'd be so appreciative. In addition to business cards, I'm also planning to order some 1" buttons, and I'm having a problem with the templates. Every template I've found looks basically like this:

and maybe I'm just totally brain-dead, but I am really confused. Is the inside circle where all of the artwork goes? If so, what is the outside circle for? I have a button design that has a border on it, and I know if I don't get this right, the border is going to be cut off or screwed up. If the border falls exactly where that inside pink circle is, will it show up? Or is it just a bad idea to put a border on a button? Please help. I tried to find the answer on my own but I am just so confused.

Thank you so much, in advance.

I was asked to do a craft with the summer camp kids at my kid's daycare. The theme for the week is Treasure Island.

I found a really tutorial online to make treasure chests out of tissue boxes. Now, I want to be able to have things for them to make the chests fancy. I was thinking about seashells and those little flat backed gemstones.

Problem is, I can't find them in bulk online. I have looked in about 20 different online wholesale craft stores, and they only have little packs of like 10. There are 20 children.... and I would like to buy 200-300 of these.

With the seashell, I found an AWESOME place online. You can get a 5lb bag of large shells for 10. (which would give me 100-150 shells) They also had great prices on Starfish. 2 dozen 3"-4" for only $10! The problem is, you have to have a $50 minimum order. I looked at a few other places as well... but none had such great prices! To bad I have no use for $50 worth of seashells!

So, do you know of any place online I can get either of those? If it's it a craft store online, I can spend the $50 minimum. I can always find crafts for my kids. And it can be wholesale, I have a tax ID# for my business.

Oh, and can you think of any other treausre type craft ideas. I'm staying away from pirates. just because this is a Christian Camp, and I don't know if Pirates will go over well. haha

Thanks Girls!

I decided to try my hand at embroidery today...

I made this headband out of some black&white floral quilting fabric. I only bought half a yard (@ $1.98/yd) since I only had this small project in mind. It was the closest thing I could find to match my black&white floral dress, which I'm wearing to my cousin's wedding this Saturday. The fabric has been sewn to about 1.25"x16" and I made it following the instructions for the ribbon headbands in Leah Kramer's Craftster book; there is a button attached to one end and elastic thread on the other.

My hair is in curls and styled like Carrie Bradshaw's in Episode 75 (Season 6) of "Sex and the City". Just some bobbypins to keep my hair out of the way. Photos of Carrie here and here.

I know a few people have posted that they have questions or problems with iron on paper for printers. I love them. They make quick and easy personalized presents. I have used both kinds, for light and dark colored clothing. I have only used HP brand because that is the kind of printer I have. You really have to read carefully and follow directions because the methods are completely different for the light and dark color paper.

I made some more envelopes and I like them but not really as much as the last ones. I used some old wallpaper that looks like old lady living room paper :) But the pattern is so big & busy I don't know if it works? It made placing the blank labels for an address really awkward. The lace ribbon is tying a stack of five together but you can't really see that in the picture.

I painted a stool I got at the thrift store today. It started out as plain wood. I painted it lime green and dark purple then drew on the monsters. :)

Just a quick update of bags I've finished over the last week. I have been playing with the zippers I bought and I think I've finally figured out how to make coin and makeup bags so I'm going to do up a few next week so I'll post pictures when they're done! Thanks for looking!

How does one go about "cutting" a hole through a glass bottle? I need this to store in my giant brain, and I promise to only use this knowledge for evil. I can't do anything hardXcore with a blowtorch, but that would be cool too!

PS: The memories have been searched, and I simply cannae figure it out.
