I've been really interested in printing and creating my own stamps these days. So I bought some Soft Kut and went to town. Here's the results:

I think all of kurt halsey's (www.kurthalsey.com) stuff is adorable, especially anything involving cats. My boy bought me some of those vans that everyone has, on super clearance, and they we're far too boring to be left alone...

I recently started knitting again, nothing complicated really, I still don't have the patience for patterns. I decided I wanted to try something new this time, so I gave felting a try. I think I'm addicted. This is the second bag I've knitted and felted in the past week. It turned into a furball sort of...tee hee!
(pix are pretty big, sorry)
the pix )
Anyhoo, it's nothing spectacular, I've got lots of kinks to work out.
Any ideas for other small felted projects? I'm sort of at a loss as to where to go from here...

thanks much for looking! :0)

Hi,

I have been lurking for awhile and thought I would post somethings I have been working on.

I wanted to crochet wire so I retaught myself how to this last two weeks. It has been years but I remembered the very basic. I started first with yarn, made a few bags and then made my first wired crochet bangle. I then was feeling I needed to get a sewing fix in, so I made a cozy for my Ipod:

edit: I reposted - hopefully folks can see the images now. : )

Hi everyone! I always love the stuff thats posted here.. and I thought you guys might know the answer to this.
Im painting a fairly old coffee table with acrylics. What sealer can I use (spray or liquid or other) to seal the image on the table after Im done so that I can still use the table to put stuff on, wipe clean, and rest my coffee mug on without fear that it will peel/chip/wipe away?

And just so this is not a text only post, heres a pic of said coffee table in progress.
So my sister brought over that coffee table, and althought its a little worse for wear.. its starting to look better. I give you the before and after:

I still have alot of painting to do to it. Just thought I would take a break while the outline and thorns are drying. And the reds that I have are not RED enough.. or not thick enough. So Im going to pass by the art store today and pick up some Van Gogh paints (man are they ever thick) and see about finishing this baby up. Im thinking of painting the sides/legs either red or black. Cant decide yet. :(

And Ive already started tattooing up my dressers as well.. lol <3

thanks in advance

i have a glass pane that i want todo an etch thing to but i want to be able to free form it with an exacto knife and was wondering what i need to get to put on the glass that i can cut away pieces for the etching. i dont even know hwat to serch for to find out, anyone that can suggest it would be muchly appreciated.

also i would like to make a recommendation for theringlord.com ive ordered from them for quite awhile and whenever i have a problem they have excellent and helpful customer service, i recently had to contact them because i lost one of my gift certificate codes from Christmas(they dont expire for a year) and they went ahead and rolled all of mine into one code so its easier for me to use(probably easier for their records as well)

i do suggest making large orders however because of how they do their shipping, thay arnt really set up to give good shipping prices on smaller orders.

I have these little this plastic animals that I want to make into charms for neclaces but I'm not sure how to go about making these into charms or pendants, there is no place that I can put a ring into them. If I try to make a hole in the body of the animals, the plastic will crack. These animals are hollow on the back, I thought maybe I could fill them up with something and then add a ring? Any suggestions?

Also any good online stores that sell really cute beads (plastic, unique)?

I mainly would like to find vintage plastic gun charms, tanks, grenades, etc..

Thanks!

To preface - I have a very strange family.

My older sister is probably one of the strangest.  She has requested a solution for the times she misses the family dog - a four-year-old Shih Tzu named Oscar.  Specifically, she misses his paws - she loves the little pads of his feet and the soft, fuzzy white fur.  So, she has asked me to make her a replica of my dog's paw, something that she thinks would be the cutest ever to find unexpectedly in the bottom of her purse during a boring day at work.  This is a little baffling but sounds like a fun challenge.  Anyone have any suggestions?  I primarily knit, but I also dabble in other crafts, so suggest away.  What would you use to make a little dog paw?  Suede, eyelash yarn, whatever - I need help!

Thanks!

So, every year our marching band goes to band camp, and the seniors think of a theme, make a big entrace based on this theme, and trash our band director's yard based on this theme.

This year, I'm gonna be a senior, and we've decided on (shhh it's a secreat)"Cowboys and Indians", or as we'ld prefer to call it "wild west". So far (in case anyone else needs ideas for a party with this theme) we've taken those colorfull feathers and stuck them into foam "arrows" and attached some more feathers and beads onto the "bows". We've also made a dream-catcher out of a hola hoop (I 'll get pictures when we trash our director's yard so you can see them in action). We've also got some random "indian" themed decorations.

What we need more of are cowboy things. Granted, it has to be cheap. The only things we have are buffalo and salon doors. Does anyone have any ideas as to decorations that we could make that are cowboy themed?

Also, the "Indians" (or girls) are cutting up tan t-shirts and making fringe. Then we're puttin beads on some of the fringe (I'm making mine right now)..the cow boys dont' have much (they're guys, they don't really put too much effort into it) but they do have hats and little hose-heads-on-sticks...so ideas for that would also be welcomed.

Sorry this is a text only post..but I'll try to get some pictures...I just can't post anything yet incase younger band members belong to this band...it's a surprise...they can't tell who the band is with only words...

Sorry that these pictures aren't the best quality but that's what you get when you have a crappy digital camera.

I kinda followed a little bit of a pattern but mostly I just made it up as I went along. So let me know what you think. I'm not sure what the outside fabric is made out of the but the inside is flannel.
