Hi, I'm a first time poster and very new to crafting in general, and I'm looking for some ideas. Yesterday, I was passing a store near my house that makes hand-made paper and I bought a huge bag of their scraps and cuttings for 2 euro - very happy with my purchase but I don't have many ideas for things to do with them!

I have about 200 strips of paper in total, in black, brown, off-white, white, pink, red, sky blue and silver, some with smooth finishes and some rough. Because of the white background, some of the scarps aren't very clear on the left hand side of the photo, but you can still see the colours.

Do any of you lovelies have a tutorial on small wallets? Like the bi-fold ones with a pocket on the inside or out.....or a small card case with a little flap closure?

I can't seem to find any online and I tried twice last night to make one and failed miserably. OMG, they came out horrible. I threw them out. I guess I really need picture by picture help instead of going by whats in my head.

Also, any tutorials on bucket totes? Ot the ones that kind of look hobo-ish? Where the strap almost seems seemless to the body of the tote? I wish I had a photo of what I was talking about. If you understand then great, if not never mind. LOL!

Thanks for the help!

Oooh so my mom came home the other day and she brought home my duct tape purse that I let her borrow for some library thing. That purse is awesome and I thought I'd share it with you...

Hi! A few questions here. I have a plan in mind, I just don't know how to go about doing it. I found this beauty in a parking lot:

And want to make a lamp out of it. I am almost 100% sure this boy mannequin crotch/butt thing is fiberglass. The hole at the top was already present. Now, I want to spraypaint him a shiny black to get rid of the imperfections on his butt, haha. What kind of paint/spray paint would be the best? Anyone have personal experience, etc? Also, where is the best place to get a DIY lamp kit for this kinda thing? Anything else I should keep in mind, never made a lamp before!

Thanks!

Now I'm not sure on the rules on posting stuff for she's to make stuff but check out the above link. Nothing like craft clearance stuff to get a girl going on making more things! (and then post them here!) I just thought you ladies might enjoy!

I have this dress that my friend had made for her bridesmaids at her Medieval wedding. But it's rather plain, and now that the wedding is over, we don't have to worry about all the bridesmaids dresses looking the same. I was wondering if any of you crafty girls would have any clever ideas on what to do to dazzle the dress up a bit?

It's a simple T-dress style, so I didn't include a picture of the bottom. I was thinking of knitting a nice new belt for it, but someone suggested trim. I've never sewn anything like that before, so maybe you more experienced craft girls will have some ideas.

Anyways, thanks in advance! ^__^

I've read the memories on what to do with temporary tatoos. I was just curious...are there any special methods that work best to adhere them to fabric and what could I seal them with?

I have these small ones and I wanted to put them on fabric circles and eventually stuff them to make buttons and make round pillows with these tatoo buttons in the centers. I just dont know what would warrant the best result.
