Hokay.

My grandma made these tiles out of clay. They're pretty and cute and generally wicked awesome. But I have no idea what to do with them.
Helpage is required!

Here are some pictures so you know how big they are and what they look like:

but maybe you can help me out nonetheless. I'm writing (supposed to be writing) a debate for English class right now and I'm having some real trouble focusing. My head feels extremely dense. I guess it's somewhat of a writer's block but also I'm just not interested in doing this. Is there anyone out there who gets frequent crafters/artist's block? Or feel like you just don't want to do something? How do you remedy these feelings? Help, this assignment is due tomorrow!

I used the tute for animal hats from the [livejournal.com profile] craftgrrl memories to make these hats for my cousin's baby shower. It was very hard for me to let them go... I love Sanrio! Doesn't everybody?! Sadly, I couldn't make it to the shower, but I heard that the hats were the hit of the party. Yay me!

They're made of fleece, and I am sorry I couldn't get a better picture. Luckily, I remembered to snap a few shots before I packed and wrapped them. I used this chart for the sizes and ended up making them between 12 and 15 inches each to make sure at least one of them fit.

I am making a 'Squarey' from Jess Hutch's 'Unusual Toys for you to Knit and Enjoy' and I'm almost done the back part. Now it says to mattress stitch the sides together which isn't a problem, but it says to 'False Graft' the cast on and cast off edges together and I cannot find ANYTHING anywhere on what the heck this means.

Anyone?

I will post pictures of him when he is done.

this weekend has been awfully busy. on friday i finished making a custom charm necklace:

more pics of it )

it took me 4 days to make this. a lady asked me to make it after she saw my charm bracelets. it was my first attempt at a charm necklace. i don't make necklaces very often because i'm not good at it. it has about 120 charms on it. the lady who i made it for is wearing it for her wedding rehersal dinner. its made of sterling silver, peridot stones, amethyst stone chips, and swarovsi crystals. its reeeeeally sparkly and it has a nice bit of weight to it.

i feel bad that i've been a member for a while and so far have only posted a question, so here's a project that i did a while back: it's a refrigerator magnet that i made for one of my mom's co-workers as a thank-you gift (she cooked me Indian food randomly one day). she likes elephants a lot, so...

This is so simple it may not even deserve to be here, but I had to share- it's so clever! (Thanks, Christine!)

When I came to college this year, I wasn't sure what to do with my jewelry- my old setup of a revolving tie rack for necklaces and an embroidery hoop for earrings wasn't going to work, since I can't put nails in my dorm walls. Then my friend suggested this, the cheapest and cleaverest possible solution:

Pushpins!

At first I was only going to do this for the necklaces, but then I happened to see my neglected pickup sticks set...
