Hi all,

I do direct sales through in home parties (sort of like Tupperware, but adult products) and am working on changing my display a bit. I ordered some over the door product holders...basically made for barbies, but they can be personalized, which I did. One is for the "fun & mild", the other's for "hot and wild".

Only thing, the bags are pink, the personalization is hot pink and there's not much contrast. The words are hard to read. Any idea on how to get them to stand out more against the background? The bags are made of thick nylon material, sort of like duffle bags.

Thanks for any ideas!

What probably will seem like a really stupid question but...

could someone please do me a favor and tell me how many pixels a 2.25 inch by 3 inch document would be? I have Photoshop, but it's giving me problems lately and when I specify inches it makes a small document and I know 2.25 x 3 inches would be pretty big in terms of pixels. So, if someone could just maybe create a document and tell me the pixel size I'd appreciate it. I hope this made sense. I feel like I'm not explaining very well. It's for an ad in a magazine so it has to be exact. Thank you so much in advance.

And to make this not just a really dumb question, here's a necklace I made the other day. It's six-strands with Serpentine, Swarovski crystals, and freshwater pearls. The clasp and findings are sterling.

I want to make jewelry out of muli-sided dice like you use in RP games but I want to make it so I can take them off the bracelet/ necklace/ etc easily enough so I can use them in an impromptu game ^-^ any ideas?

Someone wrote yesterday about binding a book for a partner. It prompted me to want to share something that my Match and I have been doing.

Part of our "relationship" was long distance and I hand bound us a book to be shared between us. We write in this book whenever we are away from eachother and it is filled with drawings, collages, words of love or frustration, comics, lyrics, journal type entries, list of places we would like to go together and other sweet things.

We have been doing this for over 2 1/2 years and have been living together for nine months now. It is a fantastic time capsule of us. Everyone I tell about it and a couple that I have shown this book think it is a great idea...then they want to steal it. I wanted to share it with and maybe you would like to do the same.

Like many a crafty chick I am making gifts and craft sale items - and my obsession is poly clay. Here's a few of my recent ring bowls (little bowls from Ikea, about 5cm in diameter in a ton of canework from my stash and friends):

And I covered some glass heart ornaments too - the pics are a tad big again, so more LJ cutting:

After a recent post I made with photos of some clothes I made, someone commented that their son is really into Star Wars and that she wished that she had that fabric for him to toy around with. Being that it's the Christmahanukwanzakah season, I cut a few squares for him and made him a toy. I think she said he's 9:

Meet Al. He comes from the deep dark depths of the ocean floor. Don't be mistaken by his jagged teeth and blank stare, all he wants to do is snuggle.....and maybe burrow into your lower intestine♥

Hi all.

I'm in the process of making fleece scarves as presents for my friends, and plan on applique'ing a small felt design on each.

i'm going to prewash the fleece, but should i also prewash the felt? can i even prewash it?

i'm worried that something will happen to it, as it's craft felt, and also, since i bought a bunch of different colors, i'm afraid the colors will bleed into one another unless i wash each one in a different load (which i guess is feasible since i live in a dorm and everyone has gone home for thanksgiving so there are plenty of machines available...but it's also quite a waste of water and detergent!)
