This was a pair of scrub pants once. They glowed in the dark.

However, after two years of heavy wear in a workplace and three more as pajamas, they'd gotten really shredded at the bottom, and no longer glowed.. Becoming a cute miniskirt was the best option for them.

I put some tattered white net at the bottom. I'm quite pleased. And, no, it's not uneven. My belt is just pulling it up weird.

I know several of you have made bath bombs and frequent the Not Martha site. Can anyone tell me approximately how many bath bombs this recipe makes? I know it depends on what size bombs you make, so I guess I'm looking for an approximate number. I want to make some for friends and am going to have to order several of the ingredients online - I don't want to order too little.

This is the first of four character scarves that I'm in the process of making.

Sorry I'm posting after 2 am. But it seriously took me about three hours.

Hello and greetings!

I've been making something really spiffy, and I just had to share it about some. I apologize if some of you see this post five bazillion times, I'm cross-posting it all over kingdom come. Ordinarly I try to avoid that, but I make an exception for something this cute, because it must be shared!

So what is it that's so cute? It's a thing (or rather a whole heap of things!) called a Loonakit. I call them Loonakits because they're definitely loony. The first one I made was downright insane, though some of the later ones are a touch more normal looking.

The how and why of Loonakits (lots of rambling writing) )

Now on to the Loonakits (Lots and lots of pictures) )
If you have any questions about any of this, feel free to ask! I welcome suggestions, ideas for new Loonakits, whatever!

Christmas is coming and with two new rabbits in the house it's time to start making their stockings. Does anyone have an easy pattern? I'm a novice sewer.

Thanks in advance!

I'm working on a tshirt quilt to give to my husband for xmas. I was just wondering what you guys thought of sewing the quilt top onto a giant piece of fleece instead of bothering with the batting/back layer/actual quilting/all that jazz. I've made a few quilts in the pass and I do know the proper way to go about making them. This just seems so much quicker/easier/cuddlier.

Does anyone have a pattern for a full sized bed skirt?

When I'm not lazy or using school and work as an excuse to postpone projects, I can actually make something! hehe. This is the first zipper pouch I've been able to make in a long time. Sorry for only posting one item but I'm trying to finish more things during my Thanksgiving break. Hopefully I'll be able to show more stuff later! In the meantime, here are some details )

After a recent entry in [livejournal.com profile] hip_domestics (where the OP, and well as myself, like this cat shaped humidifier but not the color), I started wondering:

Is there a paint that we could use to safely paint this? It's a cool mist humidifer instead of warm, but I'd worry about moisture, etc. still, and wouldn't want it to peel.

In general, I usually just buy exactly what I want. But honestly, I need a humidifier as well, and this would seem more like a decor instead of a humidifier just sitting there. Any ideas how one might go about safely painting this?

Thanks!
