My dad got this clock in a gift exchange and gave it to me. Rather than putting a bunch of tiny photos in it like the box suggested, I decided to do a quick painting to put in it.

My Christmas giveaway to my girlfriends this year were tiny biscornus that can be used as cellphone straps or keychains. The idea actually spawned from a long, boring bus trip - the story behind it, I made as some sort of "tale" and used it as a gift tag, which can be seen here and here.

When one of them saw these biscornus, she had this "bright" idea to use them as giveaway for my goddaughter's 1st birthday next year. At least she didn't say tiny ones like these, because there's no way I'm doing 100 of these things! They're so tiny and the floss kept on slipping under the linen! >.< (I'm trying to bargain my way down to 20 of the normal biscornus. LOL) I have 2 more tiny ones I wanna do and send out as a surprise, but after that no more! Cute as they may be! LOL Oh yes. One for me, too, of course. ;)

I received the awesome gift of a sewing machine for Christmas, so I decided to break it in. There are two totes under the cut, both made with almost the exact same materials - patterned black felt, a geisha fabric, and a black polyester. Be kind, this is the first time I've used a sewing machine since middle school (almost fifteen years ago, ack!).

From my stash i had a huge amount of the blue yarn but i didn't want a sweater out of that because i wouldn't wear it so i made a baby blanket. Never had made so big a project its not a mind boggling one, its rather straight forward but requires patience which i really don't have much of. Anyway pics are behind the cut.

happy crafting

This is sort of more art than craft, but I'm super proud of this, so I want to show it off! :)

For my dad's Christmas present, I drew a drumset in psp (cause he plays the drums!) and then made a design out of it, then used Snapfish to have it printed out poster-sized. (For the record, Snapfish's posters are printed on high-quality photo paper, totally unexpected! I recommend their posters to everyone.)

I am making my first pair of stranded mittens from Knitty.com called Corazon. I am just not sure about the colors I chose. I love them together, but I think the contrast isn't enough. What do you think? I also reversed the color chart by mistake and I have my backround color as the main color. Ooops.

Maybe I just wasn't looking in the right places in the memories, but I cannot seem to find anything that will help me figure out what I'm supposed to do.

Long story short: My boyfriend made me a shirt for my birthday - it was an inside joke thing.

He ironed-on three different letters (B-U-G), but told me he put them on crooked, so he ironed them off (without cleaning off the residue he left behind, of course) and then re-ironed them on.

So now, I have a shirt that has icky iron-on residue left on it, and I just want to know how to get it off.

Does Goo-Gone work? Do I need some kind of special fabric... stuff?
Thank you to anyone who has a suggestion!

I thought I'd step out of the corner and show some of my crafts. I keep a separate livejournal blog (there is no selling there, it's strictly a gallery) [livejournal.com profile] innereyecreatns if you'd like to see the rest of my work. In the mean time, I thought I'd post my two favourite projects to date here because they don't appear on my craft blog (I had posted them on my personal blog and didn't want to "repeat").

One of my friends LOVES the musical wicked...I want to make a stencil of the Wicked musical poster and bleach it out on the back of a hoodie...he's a straight guy and i figure that way it would still be kind of "masculine" for him, but his favorite show and home-made and all that good stuff. Has anyone ever done large bleach designs like this before?

I was thinking about putting the bleach into a squirt bottle and spraying it on for a spray effect....for anyone who has done this before, or even if you can just help me out, my biggest questions are:

1. what should I use to make the stencil out of so that I don't get runny lines from the bleach being too absorbed into the fabric on the stencils' edges? is this something I have to worry about a whole lot?

2. how long do you think I should leave the bleach sit on the fabric before I wash it out?

thank you so much!

Ok, so I went to WalMart today, and I was looking at the Christmas Clearance, and I saw these awesome little baubles, and made earrings!

hiiii craftgrrl.

let me explain my situation.

i have this naaasty, old, faded, stretched out hoodie that i love wearing, but it needs a major surgery. i wanted to line the hood with a faux fur because i'm too cheap and lazy to go out and buy one of those hardcore expensive eskimo jackets.

and a while back, i found this PERFECT guide/tutorial/whatever about doing exactly that, i just don't know where i found it. anyone wanna help me find it? :[

p.s. any tips/guides on fitting jackets would be appreciated too :D

thanks!

and..ehh
sorry if this isn't supposed to be posted.
i couldn't find anything in the memories or any related journals.
