resin?

I have 4 coasters made out of cardboard or some other papery kind of thing, (ya know, the disposable ones) and I want to make them.. not disposable. I like them a lot and want to keep them around, but I also want to actually use them. Should I use resin for this or what? What in the world can I do?

And just so this isnt a text-only, here is a picture of a picture frame I made, and some votive cups that I etched. They have a sea life design which you cant really sea because my camera is bad and Im a terrible photographer :)

Tote Bags

I made a few bags and stenciled on them too! I was very crafty tonight.

I bought some canvas-like fabric that I absolutely adore. Its soooo soft and easy to work with. Acrylic and fabric medium to stencil with. Many more of these little guys to come.

I bellydance and I have this lovely gold bra and belt set that I’ll wear for years...it's lasted 1 1/2 years thus far.  The belt looks grand with velvet trumpet skirts, but has always struck me as a smidge too wide to really suit chiffon skirts. This is a shame, because I dig the 70’s groovy belly dancer look.  I'm 5'4" and need all the torso and leg that I can get.

Inspired by a post that I saw on Crafster, I decided to make my own yardstick shelf to display some of my vintage valentines. I painted the shelf white, used white ribbon, and decorated the edges with buttons.

The tutorial can be accessed here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=77989.0

Pictures are behind the cut.

Here are some pictures of the baby blanket I made last fall. I love the color combination on this one and how it turned out. The mother really seems to like it as well, so that makes me feel good.

Hi! I have really enjoyed the feedback from all of you with my jewelry stuff. I made some more and I'd like to share it!

I also have 2 questions. Are there any communities that are just jewelry related? I'd love to join them as well.

and does anyone have any tutorials on how to make rings using wire? or websites, or books?

I'm looking for a knit or crochet pattern for a winter hat with kitten ears (adult size). Anyone have a good one they would like to share?

Thanks!

Does anyone have a suggestion as to what company makes the best custom rubber stamps? I'd like to get some for my daughter, who has a very unusal name and never has anything with her name on it unless I make it. What company produces the clearest, longest-lasting custom stamps? I want a bookplate stamp for her. For something to look at, here's the cards I made for her. I did a set of 12 to start, because she loves writing letters and sending people notes. The envelopes, not shown, have the shooting star stamped on the flap.

These are done with two stamps and silvery ribbon. I used 'gluetape' in the roll-out dispenser for the ribbon and it worked fantastic. No mess or goo and the ribbons are stuck fast!

I seem to have lost all my paperback-sized bookmarks, woe is me, so I spent yesterday being crafty and making my own. :)

I used some of my old photographs and one postcard, colored paper (on clearance from Jo-Ann's), and self-stick laminating stuff.

Bookmarks ahoy. And lots of pictures. )

These were pretty easy to make, though the laminate gave some problems a few times. Darn sticky stuff. :) My mom has already "borrowed" one of the Peony bookmarks, lol.

Hopefully I won't lose these as well.

I'm in love with this top, be sure to look at the other pics so that you can see what the back of it looks like:

I don't want to pay $18 for it though.

Any ideas on how I can make it?

Hello. I am trying to make a treasure bag (if it helps im doing it on 2 needles and not in the round. I hate DPN's) from http://cache.lionbrand.com/patterns/60002.html?noImages= and on the eyelet round it says

*YO, sl 1, K2tog, psso, rep*

My problem is I cant figure out how to do a YO as my first st. Do I just wrap the yarn around my right needle and go from there? Or is it something else?

Please help. I am trying to make this for my mom for her to use on the road.(shes an over the road truck driver and needs stuff like this!)

Ty for any and ALL help!

I will post a pic of it as soon as I have it finnished!

*OK I figured something out to fix it!
TY all for the help.*

So I've been watching this community for months now but hadn't really made anything post worthy until recently.

I'm rather new to jewelry making but I really enjoy it. Here are pics of my first three pieces, I'd appreciate any feedback!

Hi!
Just a quick question:
When dyeing jeans, do the thread and labels get dyed too? especially the label on the back of the jeans above the back pockets.
I was thinking about dyeing some jeans, but if it's going to ruin the labels and thread, i'd rather not.
Thanks !

Hey, you look like you could use a picture post!  These shirts are a bit old (if you can't tell by the Christmas tree decoration in the first picture x_x), but I just recently got a digital camera so now I can show them to you!

Is it just me, or does this shirt make me look Sith? Hahaha...preview....
