Some stuff my 4-Her's did this past Tuesday for their meeting. These are my versions, cause I like to test out the "funness" of some of the projects for our meetings. Also, some random pictures from my other crafting adventures!

Pictures yay!! )

I bought a couple yards of both the happy junk food and happy sweets fabric. Suggestions on what I should turn them into? Pj pants,a few purses, the radest skirt imaginable?

I'm currently doing a work placement up in London with a milliner for my Uni course, and I finished my first peice today. She's called udy Bentinck and she's made some beautiful hats and is also and lovely lady and a great teacher. It's made as a try out for a shop order, and I'm on to making one in navy with a velvet base.

The base was made from sinamay and it's all hand sewn. The loops are from black crin and some beautiful feathers pulled from the many she has about her studio.

 Cute bow details:

Why is that blck and white stripes always look  so funny up close?
The skirt is a tiered black and white striped farbic, black spiderweb lace and a elastic waist band. The bow detail is the fabric and lace together, with stripes of the left over lace for a tail.
I promised my self that this year I would make something for me every month. This is january's project. The question is what's in store for feb. ?

Crochet Mary Janes

Project #05 for 50 projects in 2007! I made these Crocheted Mary Janes from a tutorial on Craftster. I made a pair during the Secret Snowflake swap for Sainte Eph and loved how they turned out, so I made another using leftover yarn (Lion Brand Wool Ease) for my boyfriend's sister, who loooooves purple. I'm probably going to make another pair for myself, maybe in grey. ^_____^

I got a serger for Christmas so I have been sewing shirts alot! There are too many for me to put here but I will post my favorites so far. :)

4 Pictures )

A serger is so much easier to make shirts with than a normal sewing machine! I love mine, it's so neat! :) Happy crafting everybody, I'm sure I'll be posting more now that I can make shirts much faster than before!

Hi

I am planning to make a diaper cake.

But the instructions show that I have to fold the diapers like so

and then tape them up like so:

Can you fold disposable diapers like that or will it make it all out of shape and the baby can't use them?

Also, do you think it is alright to use take for disposable diapers? I'm afraid it will get the diaper bad or rip it.

thanks

I got the instructions from here:
