Hi there!
I hope some clever chickadee can help me:)

ok, so I want to make my zippered pouch more sturdy buy using an iron-on interfacing but can I just iron it on(on the wrong side of the fabric), won't it stick to the iron? Also if I put a fabric over the interfacing to stop it sticking to the iron, won't it fuse with said fabric aswell?

This all prolly sound as dumb as can be but I could really do with some help and really appreciate any;D

Hi again. I recently asked advice about graphic design and now I'm back to ask about advertising. Yay! I make jewelry, pocket mirrors, and buttons. I'm trying to find the best magazines to advertise in. I know Bust is a good one, although I've only gotten two sales off of the last ad I ran there. However, I'm hoping that with better graphic design I'll have better luck. I think I have the graphic design thing down, I just need to find good places to advertise. Any thoughts? Both small and large publications interest me. I've contacted Nylon for ad rates but I'm not sure that's the right place for me. Any really good place to advertise online? I know most online ads get ignored so I don't want to waste my money.

Help? Thanks in advance.

P.S. Here's a pocket mirror to make this not so text-onlyish:

It's a drawing of mine that was based off of an old illustration I found in a children's book from the 1920s.

Greta knows all the words to Hurdy Gurdy Man. Greta was probably destined for kitchen curtains, when I was still in diapers, if not before. But she's been liberated and is living the life of a working woman, as my knitting bag. I found the fabric for her in a second-hand shop; I have a terrible weakness for outrageous vintage fabrics. When I bought the quilting fabric that makes up her interior, I immediately thought of the exterior fabric. And then people laughed at me. But, now that I put her together, I think she pulls it off. i would like to make the aran knit purse, which is made up of four squares for each side, all measuring 6"x6" according to the pattern. I figure instead of making the squares separately and sewing them together, I can just knit the whole thing together. BUT, I cannot tell from the picture what the layout of the squares are...please help! also, each of of the squares requires different numbers of cast-on stitches (34, 41, 44, snd 39).

My very first cover!!! My 2nd time sewing.. :)

I used felt, and painstakingly sew it myself because I don't have a sewing machine. Weh! :( I'm quite happy with the outcome though. (Except for the ugly circle.) & because I didn't need any tutorials!

I'm gonna do a few more for friends & family as practice!

after many searches online for a knitted cozy pattern, I decided to just make my own! :D
this is my first project posted on here, though I've been a lurker for quite some time now.
I must say I love and admire everyone's lovely and creative work. Keep it up, ladies! :)

Hey there! This is my first post around here, so I wanted to say hi and post three of my more recent projects. The first is a chaplet (kind of like a mini rosary) made for my mom, and the second is a pillowcase. It may be one of the simplest things to sew, but I've never used a sewing machine before this, so I'm very proud. I also am completely in love with the fabric, and have similar fabric in a different color waiting to be turned into another pillowcase. Finally I have a little embroidery sampler I'm working on. I bought "Sublime Stitching" by Jenny Hart, and am using a tea towel that came in her "Stitch It" kit to practice on. When I get good enough, I have a whole line-up of stuff to embroider.
