but im looking for a recipe for ice cream cone cupcakes. all the ones i've found involve spooning the batter into the cones, i've done that before and it was a soggy mess.
if you happen to know of a way to avoid that (ive heard of putting the cone onto the batter) could you post it here?
thanx

I am looking for suggestions on modifying clothes to lenghten the sleeves.

Basically, I have a pretty large tattoo that needs to be covered at work (see icon - it goes down to my elbow). Now that it is spring, I have been looking for spring clothes, but everything I am finding that is work appropriate tends to have very short sleeves.

Is there any (simple??) way that I can modify the sleeves to make them longer?

I don't currently know how to sew, although I am getting a machine in about a month. However even when I do get it, I don't know that I will be capable of removing the sleeves and having matching fabrics to make completely new sleeves.

I have thought of somehow using fusible web and iron stretchy lace into the sleeves or something, but I dont know if that will work at all.

Does anyone have any suggestions on an easy modification, or do I just need to get longer sleeved clothes (and wear or shorten them) or learn to make my own?

Thanks!

I am making a blanket and I was wondering if anyone knew what stitch this border is...I really like it and can't seem to figure it out.

It seems to me that it would be some kind of shell...scoop...something. I just can't quite see it and that is the best picture of it.

Please wait while I giggle like the 12-year-old I am sometimes. [Heh. Boning.]

How exactly would one go about putting boning into a gown? My mother unearthed her wedding dress from the depths of storage over the weekend and has offered it to me for my own wedding. The dress was handmade by my grandmother and absolutely stunning [save the 1980s poof to the sleeves], and I want to make it strapless if possible. However, to do so and keep it upright, I know I'm going to have to get some boning or something similar worked into the dress. Is it possible to place boning into a garment after the fact? I just want to make sure I don't spend my wedding day hitching my dress back up over my boobs. Any information would be exceedingly helpful.

I'm new to Soap Making.
I'm starting a business making natural bath and body stuff. Today I started making soap. One of the soaps, I kept for myself and tried it out right away. The thing I noticed was...very very little lather.
I'm using Melt and Pour base. Am I adding too much stuff? Is it natural for home made soap to not be so sudsy? What's up?

Any advice would be great!
Thanks!

This is the first dress I've made from a pattern I've drawn myself! I'm so happy with the way it's turned out!
